A really lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was so welcoming, very clean and tidy and everything of a very high standard to ensure we were very comfortable throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this super little place, it is well positioned for easy access to the coastal paths, lovely beaches, the Minnack Theatre, the pub and a lovely cafe close by in the village. We will be returning soon.

A little gem

  • 5 of 5

A lovely character cottage which was well maintained and clean . The accommodation was very cosy and comfortable and everything worked well. The bed was particularly comfortable and the bath was lovely and deep with plenty of hot water. There is a good quality log burner which was easy to operate and plenty of logs were provided too.The village was peaceful, especially at night and the locals were so lovely, they really did make us feel most welcome and you could almost believe you lived there. Apart from doing the shopping on the first day we didn't use the car for the entire holiday, there were plenty of beautiful walks and two fantastic beaches and it was lovely to just be able to relax in a lovely cottage and enjoy the village atmosphere.Treloggan is truly special, it's a proper home and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

Cosy cottage in a pretty coastal village

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Treloggan in June 2016 having spotted it when visiting Treen for the day last year. On arrival we were delighted to find that the interior of the cottage was just as we wished, cosy with plentry of character. The cottage was very clean, well maintained with good quality furnishing to make our stay very comfortable. The bathroom was particularly good with a lovely deep bath and a plentiful supply of hot water to provide a luxury bath, just perfect after a long day out walking. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and worked well for cooking our meals. The bed was very comfortable and the village was extremely quiet in the evenings, so a good nights sleep was guaranteed.

The garden at the front of the cottage was surprisingly peaceful and private and we enjoyed sitting there in the evenings , the highlight being the Guernsey cows that passed the gate as they were being herded to the local farm for milking.Parking wasn't a problem, there was enough space on the road in front of the cottage but we preferred to use the village car park so as not to obscure the pretty view when sitting in the cottage garden. The car park is just a minute walk from the cottage and the car park owner charged us a special weekly tariff which was considerably lower than the rates displayed at the car park entrance, it was nice to have the car out of the way.

The village people were very friendly and made us feel quite welcome. Home made bread and vegetables could be purchased from the garden gates of residents and the free range organic eggs from the local farmer were exceptionaly tasty, not to mention the unpasteurized Guernsey milk, absolutely delicious!

The location was ideal for instant access to the beautiful coastal paths and two spectacular beaches, there were plenty of inland footpaths too which gave plenty of scope for circular walks.

The owner of the cottage, although we never met Sue, was easily contacted and most helpful. She ensured all was in order, arrival arrangements and any other particulars were all done satisfactorily by email/phone.

All in all we were very pleased with Treloggan, as well as providing a delightful and comfortable home for our holiday it also offered extremely good value for money. We adored the cottage and were very sad to have to leave but hopefully we will return again in the future.

A pleasant stay in a quiet location. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. A nice country pub serving good food just 50 yards or so down the lane.

Delightful, clean cottage

  • 4 of 5

Stayed early Sept 2016. Lovely little cottage, clean, well equipped. We usually camp in Treen but this was a lovely treat. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet retreat. The only small thing was the communal garden which got mowed on our last day but isnt very well kept in general.
