In surroundings :
In the steps of the Revolution: -----As you walk around the local area, you may see a game of pétanque at the Place de la Nation. Take a look at the imposing bronze statue of 1899 « Le triomphe de la République ». In 1660, Place de la Nation was called Place du Trône to commemorate the entry into Paris of Louis XIV and Marie-Thérèse of Austria, his new wife. Then, it became Place du Trône Renversé at the time of the Revolution. It became Place de la Nation on July 14, 1880, at the introduction of the first national festival. It’s one of the greatest Places in Paris built as a symbol of Nation or Republic, like Place de la Bastille which is only about 30mn on foot from it, or Place de la République, only about 40mn on foot. Have a good walk following in the steps of the Revolution !
Unusual stroll: -----Here’s a suggestion for an unusual stroll, in a peaceful cemetery ! Close to the apartment, at the end of the street, this picturesque Pere Lachaise Cemetery is a 44ha of criss-crossed treelined paths, with flowering shrubs and stone staircases. Père de La Chaise, (Louis XIV’s confessor), lived here before this area became the first secular cemetery in Paris, dating back to 1804. There are numerous sculptures and recumbent statues from the past two centuries of France's (and other countries) most famous artists, politicians, scientists, etc, eg. Apollinaire, Molière, Balzac, Chopin, Sarah Bernhardt, Modigliani, Champollion, Piaf, Wilde … and the well known Mur des Fusillés de la Commune (1871), called ' Mur des Fédérés ', with these heads and busts standing out in the light of the setting sun, a poignant, striking reminder of what happened long ago. Indeed, they are all worth seeing ! It's like visiting a huge open air museum!
Have fun the Parisian way !: -----Within easy reach of the apartment, you have either the chic or cheap shopping at the Printemps Nation Store or in the rue d’Avron. You also have a real choice of attractions, sports and activities for any age, eg. swimming (open air in summer), cycle hire or horse riding. *) Go into the famous Bois de Vincennes with its Zoo, its Tropical Aquarium, its Parc Floral de Paris for children’ s activities,(nature centre, theatre), or row a small boat on the lake. *) Run in Buttes-Chaumont, the best known park with its grotto, lake, waterfall & suspension bridge, …. *) You can spend some memorable moments in the Cité des Sciences, going from one interactive exhibition to the next, and with a 3D film, it would be a great way to round off your visit. *) Or go by train from RER Nation straight to Disneyland to have fun in the Park & studio. *) And why not, have a break from culture, on Sunday afternoons, by joining the special circuit for Rollerblades. Have fun the Parisian way !
I'm French. I was born in Paris and I lived there for 60 years. Now I am retired and I live in the countryside. I am a regular visitor to Paris to see my family a few days.
This flat has been in the family for two generations. This apartment is also our family base when we are in Paris. We love it. We left our family furniture in the apartment. We want enough comfort to welcome us, when we come to see our family in Paris, and also enough comfort to welcome our guests during their stay here. So, be welcome to us!

My parents rented this apartment for ten days when they visited me in Paris and they loved it. The apartment is spacious, full of light and in a very pleasant neighborhood. There are shops and restaurants everywhere and the subway is just one block away.
It is a great place to spend some time in Paris, close to the center yet away from the crowds. I strongly recommend it.
This is a very nice sized apartment for a family of 4. It is on the 5th floor with good views and looks towards the courtyard so not much noise. It had everything we required for our stay since we try to make our visits like home away from home: wifi, washing machine, extra bed and an oven. Plenty of space to layout with separation between all the main rooms: kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. The location was great for walking access to the Montreuil Flea Market which was awesome. It is near metro line 9 and not that far from Nation for transfer to other metro/rer lines. Plenty of grocery stores and I mean plenty within all quick walking distance: 2-Franprix, Carrefour City, Biologique, Simply Market, Lidl and a Picard. The only thing we didn't see near here were street markets which I can understand given the ethnic makeup of the neighborhood. The lady we worked with to check in and check out "Mary" was very nice and helpful. This place really lacked little (no AC). It even had plenty of TV channels for viewing at the end of the day. Totally recommend...
This apartment was perfect for us to stay while in Paris for 5 days. Very comfortable and roomy. Had everything we needed. very close to places to eat and a market for food. It was nice walking around the neighborhood. We recommend this apartment when visiting Paris.
appartamento molto grande in palazzo signorile. Completo di tutto, grande bagno, cucina attrezzata, tv, stereo, videoteca, terrazzino, due ascensori, vicino a 2 stazioni di metro e fermate dei bus.
We had a lovely stay at Lili's apartment. It was a perfect apartment for us because of the size and the privacy afforded. My husband and I slept in the bedroom and our guests slept on the comfortable sofa bed in the living room. It was terrific that there we doors that could be closed in the living room and in the hallway. It made things much easier because we all had our own space. We ate on the balcony a few times which was such fun in April. We can't usually do that where we live until May.
The kitchen worked out very well which was important since we like to eat in rather than at restaurants. The toaster oven was very big so I could bake things and reheat whole chickens without any problems. The microwave and burners worked out well for daily cooking. The kitchen was equipped with lots of pots and pans so I had everything I needed. The refrigerator, which I thought had looked like a half-fridge in the pictures, turned out to be much bigger. It had a good sized freezer too.
We shopped in the neighbour for all of our food. The grocery stores were convenient. Within close walking distance there were a Franprix, Lidl, Carrefour and Picard. Also, several bakeries, cheese shops, butchers and fruit/vegetable shops were very close to the apartment. The Thursday and Sunday markets were also very handy. There is even a shopping trolley/cart in the apartment which makes carry heavy items (wine) back to the apartment very easy.
Everyone in the building was pleasant as were the neighbourhood merchants.
We found the apartment was very convenient for transportation. Two metro stops were within 5 minutes walking distance but we used Marrachers the most. There are also several buses that stop nearby. Although we were outside the city centre getting anywhere in Paris was very easy and convenient. It was also handy to the various train stations for day trips outside of the city.
The complimentary bottles of champagne and water were very appreciated. The apartment was well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent and so forth. We lacked for nothing.
We will recommend this apartment to anyone we know who wants to visit Paris. Lily, and her assistant Gregory, were very friendly and professional. Our arrival and department went very smoothly for key exchanges, payments, deposit return, ordering cabs to airport and so forth.
Thank you Lily and Gregory. We truly enjoyed our stay.

This quiet, large apartment with a sunny balcony is located in the 20th district, near the 11th and 12th districts. It's in the centre of the historical 'Nation' near the famous 'Père Lachaise'. The building stands in a kind of village, with its typical low houses and narrow little paved streets. Live as a Parisian! Leave your car parked in the private space in the basement of the building and nearby, take one of the 5 metro RER lines : Buzenval or Maraichers stations at 250m or at 10mn on foot, it's easy to reach one of these stations: 'Nation, Avron or Porte de Vincennes'. It's so easy to go to airports, quick and direct to major tourist attractions or train stations with 5 buses & 5 metro RER lines nearby. It takes 13 minutes to cross Paris completely to Etoile Champs-Elysees and 33mn straight to EuroDisneyland. Also, it's easy to go to the Bastille, Marais, Republique, Montmartre, Halles, Hotel de Ville, Ile de la Cité, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the River Seine and the Eiffel Tower, the famous Louvre, Orsay, Pompidou Museums or Vincennes Castel ... And have a good time!
Other Activities: Monuments, Museums, Sightseeing bus/cruise, Concerts, Shows, Cabarets, Theatres, Art galleries, Antiques, Luxury shops, specialist & flea market.
