Behind this charming red-brick facade lies a modern, contemporary home. The ground floor contains a large open plan living, dining and kitchen space, with flat screen TV, DVD, stereo with ipod dock, washing machine, dryer and fully fitted kitchen. Upstairs are 2 bright and charming double bedrooms each with own tv and fitted wardrobes and luxurious bathroom with bath and shower.

This 1920 guinness home was completely renovated in 2009 to produce this fantastic home in Dublin's charming Liberties. Walking distance to all of the great sights and night life Dublin has to offer. Wireless Internet installed in June 2012.

Nice stay in Dublin

The home was lovely, photos and description were accurate. However make sure you do as instructed and contact the hosts well in advance. I didnt get in touch when I was supposed to as I was already overseas and had a very difficult time getting in touch with the owner and ended up having to wait quite a while to get into the home. We found that everything we needed was about a 10 minute walk which wasn't too bad. Found the home a little cold. Wi-fi worked great. Overall a nice stay.

Delightful row house

My brother and I had the pleasure of staying at this row house for nine nights in September. It was clean and comfortable and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The location was superb----convenient and within walking distance to all the tourist sites we wanted to visit. The kitchen was modern and well supplied, and we appreciated having a washer and drier. We found grocery stores, restaurants, pubs, and cafes very close by (a store with an excellent selection of beer, wine, and cider was a block away). The owner and the manager always responded promptly and professionally to our emails and requests. They were terrific. One minor caveat: It took us a while to master opening the front-door lock, so guests should ask for a tutorial when they arrive. Other than that, we were very happy with the row house and would stay there again. We are recommending it to our family and friends.

Excellent location close to all the action but tucked away in a quit neighborhood.

The property is nicely updated with modern conveniences and very tastefully decorated. The location is superb in that it is a 5-10 min walk to Temple Bar and other city attractions but tucked away in a quit neighborhood that offers a break from the crowds. Our flight arrived in an hour late into Dublin but William was at the house waiting. Carol was very responsive to all inquiries and confirmed our late arrival with e-mail. Definitely would choose to stay here again!

Excellent!

Lovely home in a great neighborhood of Dublin-10 minute walk to Temple Bar and other main tourist areas-but you have the benefit of being on a quiet, residential street. The apartment was well-equipped and well-maintained, and checking in and out was very easy. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Dublin!

Nice property in a great location in Dublin.

My two girlfriends and I enjoyed the O'Donnell House for 4 nights in Dublin. It is quite close to Christ Church Cathedral, so pretty central in Dublin. While within an easy walk, it is on the opposite end of the city center from Trinity College and the Temple Bar area. Once I had seen this area (Temple Bar/Trinity College) I was glad to be on the other end. The apartment is in the Liberties neighborhood which is older and has some character and looks like people actually live there. It is also within walking distance to both the Guinness Store house and Jameson's Distillery. If walking the city is not to your taste, the city bus system is easy and all run nearby. The apartment is beautiful in many ways - lovely hardwoods. Umbrellas were provided for use - very helpful! There were, however, some small issues I had with the apartment. The kitchen trash had not been emptied so that greeted us on our arrival. The hairdryer did not work at all. It was replaced, to their credit, but it took a couple of days. The overall cleanliness of the apartment left something to be desired - huge cobwebs in the bathroom skylight, and the floors were kind of dirty. There were no paper towels or napkins at all. (It's the little things that make a difference sometimes). I wanted to open the windows at night for air in the front bedroom but the street noise prevented me from being able to do that. I guess that comes with being in the city. One note that could really matter to some - the stairway is extremely steep and narrow with no railing on one side, so one misstep could really be dangerous. OK, all that said, my friends and I enjoyed our stay in Dublin in the O'Donnell House.

Great location

Apartment was in a good location. Close to most major attractions. The unit is a little hard to find if you are driving as it is on a one way street which is only one block long. The unit is nicely furnished and has both a washer and dryer. Neighborhood is fairly quiet. Parking is definitely a problem. You can't park in the streets around the area during the week unless you have a sticker. We weren't told that until after we arrived and had to set out very early the morning after we arrived to search for a place to park. We found a parking garage about 6 blocks away. It would have been nice had our host told us about it. I didn't get the impression the owner was very familiar with the area directly around the unit as we could have been given better directions to help us find the unit.

The house is based in a central city centre location, the area is called 'the Liberties' which is one of the oldest areas in Dublin. It is a 2 minute walk from Christchurch Cathedral and St Patricks Cathedral and 10 minutes from Guinness Storehouse, Grafton Street (central shopping district), Temple Bar (nightlife) and Jameson Distillery. We only accept a minimum of 3 night booking.
