One of London’s coolest neighbourhoods, Shoreditch is popular with young, trendy, creative-types — and you certainly won’t run out of things to do here.
The neighbourhood is full of colourful street art and bustling food markets, and there is always one pop up or another (if you’re visiting in the summer, Last Days of Shoreditch puts on a great urban beach and bar) as well as the regular great spots. Great Eastern Street is constantly filling up with new restaurants and cafes and Rivington Street is a safe bet for trendy shops and bars.
For a shabby-chic pub, the Commercial Tavern is a great spot and as eccentric as you might expect from its location. Those in the know, head to St. John Bread and Wine for classic ‘nose-to-tail’ dining and a buzzy atmosphere. Check out Nightjar for a funky jazz night in a basement speakeasy, serving imaginative cocktails in all sorts of interesting drinking vessels (pewter owl pitchers and ceramic flasks are just a couple of examples).
As is inevitable in a city like London, Shoreditch is always changing - but that’s what makes it so exciting!
Whitechapel is the nearest station to the property, just a 10 minute walk away. This connects you to the District & Hammersmith and City Lines, so exploring London could not be easier.
