Grand 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment "Figarola" is a duplex and occupies as much as two entire upper house floors. It is furnished with a style, from Mediterranean, colonial and art deco to trendy Bali style, with an authentic olive-tree inside on a 3rd floor (!) and is offered on a 4 persons basis but can easily accommodate 2 extra persons.
The entire lower storey of this apartment is one huge lounge area with a sitting area and a kitchen. Floor is covered with dressed and polished marble. Large Scandinavian sofa is easy to spread out in a comfortable additional double sofa-bed for 2 extra persons. A dining area for 6 persons with two tables is there, as well as a complete kitchen with a stove, fridge, tea and several diffrent coffee making facilities, pans, dishes, cutlery etc.
Numerous art pieces are hanging on these walls, from an Old-Greek relief, a mediaeval etchings and original paintings by contemporary Croatian artists, to signed David Bowie self-portrait (a small reflection of the owners interesting career in the music business!). A completely equipped bathroom (shower and toilet) in red and white tiles is to suit this floor.

A staircase made of polished Istrian stone kanfanar leads straight up onto the upper floor, fully paved with marble in white, grey and reddish. This floor is entirely for a repose and relaxation. Ascending the entrance there is a sitting area with sitting suit made of Indonesian rattan, designed by famous top rattan designer Yamakawa from Japan. Room is decorated with a casting of Roman sculpture of standing male and a big wall relief in gold of flying woman.
There are two separate bedrooms with a second bathroom on this upper floor. Mexican large double bed comes with a separate bench, all made of wrought iron and two matching night tables in rattan and wrought iron. There is also a bamboo toilet table and antique (Belle Epoque) white double door cupboard, made end of 19th century in continental part of Croatia. It all makes so cosy this double bedroom & second living area of some 30 square meters, off which is the twin room with en-suite bathroom. Two separate single beds are in this twin bedroom decorated with bamboo furniture and numerous paintings.

It is possible to find everything you want to spend a nice vacation, not only in your cosy apartment in Villa Cissa, as an ideal base to enjoy the city, but in the nearest surrounding of the house and the Old Town itself, from local pubs and art galleries to historic sights. And if that all sounds a bit too hectic then you can always sit in a nearby bar or cafe and watch the world go by!
