The villa is tastefully decorated with furniture of high quality. There are two floors covering a total of over 200 m². The ground floor consists of a lounge, a kitchen with dining table and sitting area, a bedroom with double bed and two single beds and en-suite bathroom with hydro massage bath, toilet and bidet. There is also a separate bathroom with a toilet and shower. On the first floor there are four bedrooms all with en-suite bathroom (toilet, bidet and shower) and double beds. Two of the four bedrooms have 2 extra single beds for a total of 14 beds. The garden and the terraces are decorated with beautiful furniture and all enjoy beautiful views on the sea and Mount Etna.
One half the property is used as holiday accommodation while the owners live in the other half. The pool (12 x 6 m and 2.20 cm deep) is open from April 1st until the end of October and is for the exclusive use of guests.
The villa remains cool during the hot Sicilian summer thanks to its hill top position and an aeration system.
The presence of central heating makes the property ideal for a winterstay.
In Santa Venerina is also possible to rent bicycles. The cost is about 10 euro for 1 day.
We have been with Homeaway since 2006, proposing houses that are able to unfold Sicily's colours and charm at best.
Houses with quality furnishing in unique locations, with incredible views or with a pool, always accurately selected in order to satisfy our main wish: to see you falling in love with Sicily just like we did.
We provide you with transparent information and true pictures. What you see is exactly what you get. We will advise you as much as we can about travel info, transfers and car rental.
Dinners in villas and other extra services can also be arranged. Finally, our prices are final rates! There are no hidden additional costs. We are flexible with your arrivals and departures and if you need a late check-in this is usually possible.
we were a family and friends group celebrating a special birthday . The villa was all we could have wished for ( clean , commodious , lovely pool and super hosts ) . The location was ideal . The townspeople really friendly and overall we had a superb holiday .
We were with 7 adults, and 3 small children. Two of them were babies of 7 months old. Villa Mareneve is a lovely place. Very clean, enough space for every one, a beautiful pool and a lovely garden. We could pick every morning the oranges from the tree for breakfast! The view to the Etna and the sea is marvelous.
Mara, the daughter of the owner, and also het mother are nice persons. Friendly, always willing to help us. They bought a second toddler high chair so that both of the babies could sit outside with us. When we asked her, Mara arranged a wine tasting in the house.
For us it was a very nice place to be.
We loved our week in this beautiful villa. All the arrangements were made efficiently and we were welcomed on arrival, with everything explained well for us. It was great for everyone to have their own ensuite with plenty of room for everyone and a beautiful pool and garden. Everything was so beautiful. We had the most wonderful dinner cooked for us by the owner on our last night and it was fabulous. We found the location was great for exploring the east coast of Sicily.
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa during the Easter holidays. It was very quiet and relaxing with amazing views of the sea and mount etna! The villa was clean and tidy and the owners are lovely and friendly. They offer to cook a traditional Sicilian dinner during your stay for a small fee per guest. We would highly recommend the fish menu - it was delicious! We would love to return during the summer months for more sunshine and warmer weather.
Large villa. Clean and attractive inside and outside. Great pool but it needed to be cleaned more often as there was ash in it most days. There is no air conditioning and the villa is uncomfortably hot at night.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely but for a villa this size the sitting room area is inadequate.
We enjoyed our stay but we have stayed in better equipped villas for the same amount of money.
The villa was clean & well equipped, Owners who live next door are friendly & helpful. The views are superb with Etna on one side & ocean on the other, nice big pool. Just half an hour easy drive from airport it's really easy to travel around the area on a growing, good motorway system(compared with UK anyway!). The town which is a few minutes drive but fair walk has 3 great restaurants plus excellent patisserie & supermarket. Would love to return .
Santa Venerina is an excellent base from which to explore eastern Sicily. The village lies halfway between Catania and Taormina and just 8 km from Acireale (a pretty little city, built on a plateau of lava, that is known for its Baroque churches). Gardini Naxos, a seaside resort with a sandy beaches, is just 25 km from Santa Venerina (15 minutes with the highway). Next to Giardini Naxos we find Taormina 'the pearl of the Mediterranean' and the most exclusive seaside resort in Sicily. Its ancient Greek theatre is world famous for its extraordinary panoramic views. Pozzillo, Santa Maria la Scala are Aci Trezza are pleasant seaside villages near Santa Venerina. The nearest can be found in Praiola (7 km), a wild pebbled beach next to an impressive cliff.
