Gated complex with pool & beautiful gardens close to Marina, restaurants, beach

Casalinda is a self-catering, modern, spacious and bright Townhouse (villa, semidetached unit) for holiday rental and WALKING distance to the Vilamoura Marina. Emphasising the 'walking distance' as there are not many properties in the area that are this ideally located. The complex has a communal swimming pool and its surrounded by well maintained beautiful gardens.

Sleeps up to 6 and perfect set up for family with teenagers or the grandparents as upstairs there is one bedroom, bathroom and balcony so there is privacy if needed (the stairs that to go to the first floor are in the foyer and there is a door that can be locked at bottom of stairs so it gives complete privacy if required).

Downstairs there are 2 Bedrooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds and cot if required) with ample wardrobe space, 2 bathrooms, one en-suite. Upstairs there is a very spacious area with one bedroom, a bathroom and balcony.

The single beds on the two of the bedrooms can be joined for couples. There is a cot for babies.

The Town house is bright, spacious and contemporary furnished.

It has an open plan kitchen/living/dining room, with sliding doors to 2 big patios that lead to the garden and swimming pool. The kitchen is big and fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, smoothie maker.

The dining room seats 6 and there is a high chair for babies. The kitchen counter has 3 high chairs.

There are international TV channels offering a variety of channels. There is a small library with about 20 books.

The main patio has a BBQ, table, chairs and 6 sun loungers. There is a smaller table on the dining room patio.

Best located unit in the complex as it offers privacy and at same time it is right next to pool (refer to the photos).

Very peaceful location surrounded by trees, with walking, cycling paths and golf courses (there are 5 golf courses in Vilamoura), 10 Minute walk to soft, sandy beach, casino and stunning Vilamoura Marina with its lovely restaurants, gorgeous shops and lively pubs. Water park nearby, great for kids. Excursions can be booked at the Marina and there is plenty to choose from.

Free Wifi and Satellite TV with over 100 channels. There is also a few selection of books.

Daily cleaning services provided at extra cost. If you are staying for 2 weeks there will be a 'mini' cleaning service provided after one week. The towels will be changed but not the bed linen.

The property is a villa/townhouse in a gated community consisting of 12 units. The majority of the units are not rented out and used by owners certain weeks of the year, so it does not get crowed, it has happened in the past that my clients have the whole of the complex communal areas to themselves.

The complex swimming pool is not heated and has the following measurements:

width: 7.5m

length: 15m

depth: shallow end 1m, middle 1.5m, deepest end 2.5m

There is no need to book a car as everything is within walking distance and if you want to explore the rest of Algarve, you can book excursions at the Marina.

If you do rent a car, there are two parking bays allocated to the unit inside the gated complex.

Its also close to the well know Vilamoura Golf courses and because the property has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is ideal for 'golf' getaways.

I supply 4 FREE Bike rentals from the Vilamoura Public Bikes system allowing you to benefit from the network of 32 stations, with a total of 150 bicycles. Each station includes attachment points to park bicycles.

The network covers the whole of Vilamoura, both its business/tourist and residential areas, and the system is designed to allow users to rent bicycles and return them to any station, therefore avoiding the need to go to a central point to collect or return them. There is a post just a 5 minute walk from the property. Bikes can only be used for 45 minutes at one time otherwise there is a fine. You can drop them at a bike point and pick up another bike

About Pam Ryder

I am from South Africa and in 2007 I moved to London where I experienced my best career years and met my husband who shares my passion for sports. Between us we have 5 grown up boys and 6 grandchildren. From 2012 and October 2015 work took us to Miami where we had the perfect weather conditions for our love of the outdoors. LOCATION=>Lovely tranquil location and at same time conveniently situated to all the amenities including beaches, town centre, Marina, restaurants, etc.

There are only 12 units in complex so it is not crowed as some places, giving you a feel of being at 'home away from home'.

The only noise you hear are the birds singing in the morning.

A favourite for golfers due to its proximity to the golf courses and walking distance to the bars in the Marina.

Bright and spacious with two patios leading to the beautiful gardens and pool area giving you the feeling of being on a private villa but without paying the private villa prices :-)

Perfect if a big family and want to have some privacy as upstairs is very independent with a lock up door from the foyer.

Location - situated in a peaceful residential area where the only noise in the mornings is the birds singing and at the same time it is walking distance to Marina, beaches, restaurants.

Small complex - 'Atlantico Resort' is a gated complex only with 12 units so it does not get crowded.

4 Bike cards to use in the Vilamoura Public Bikes Scheme, with over 200 bikes that can be rented and returned to any of its 35 stations. There is a bike post a 5 minute walk outside Casalinda.

Excellent holiday property!

My family and I (incl. two teenaged children) had the pleasure of staying at this property the last two weeks of July. The villa is very well laid out with tasteful (and expensive) furniture. The kitchen is very modern with all appliances (incl. washing machine and dishwasher), and the property is very clean. There is a good sized swimming pool. The garden is maintained daily by a very friendly and helpful caretaker. Although only 10-15 minutes from the town centre and the beaches, the area is quiet and suitable for all.

Vilamoura has a beautiful marina surrounded by various shops and many superb restaurants serving delicious gourmet food at reasonable prices. All restaurants we visited were superb (I can especially recommend the shellfish cataplana!).

There are also many other good restaurants around town priding themselves in always serving fresh food, and there are plenty of bars/cafes; some quiet and relaxing, others more lively.

The entire Vilamoura area is truly beautiful, and there is a small sightseeing train which is highly recommended giving you an overview and flavour of this wonderful part of the Algarve.

Although the nearest mini supermarket is only a few minutes away by foot, this is understocked and overpriced. It is worth walking a little longer to a proper supermarket - Jaffers - which stocks everything you need for the house. They also have a good deli with a good selection of meats and cheeses.

We found it very difficult to hire a car in Vilamoura at the time we were there, so I recommend this is done at the airport, or alternatively in nearby Albufeira (€20 by cab).

We all had a very enjoyable time, and will definitely return in the near future.

Excellent location, fab accommodation and responsive owner

Three of us stayed here for 4 nights from 8 - 12 March, meaning that we each had our own bedroom and bathroom - much better choice than sharing a hotel room! The weather was unseasonably cold but Pam soon sorted out some additional heaters for us. 15 minutes walk down to Villamoura marina - plenty of choice of restaurants within 15 - 20 minutes walk. Antonio, Pam's recommended driver, was wonderful. Despite the weather we had a very relaxing time. The grounds and pool are very well looked after and would make a lovely spot during warmer days - great privacy in front of the villa. Thanks Pam for a lovely stay and ensuring we were looked after.

Perfect Getaway

Five of us stayed 4 nights at this property mid-November and we all loved it. Two couples and a singleton - the three en-suites made a huge difference as everyone had privacy. The house is well stocked with proper cookware and bowls, plates etc. Six good sized mugs for that first cup of tea or coffee!!! We were very lucky to enjoy 25 degrees of heat in the day, but the nights were a little chilly so the heaters on the aircon came into play a couple if times although the upstairs room would have benefitted from thicker duvets there were blankets which helped. Just a short walk to the Marina with its great restaurants and bars, although as we were a little out of season some had already closed, but there are still plenty to choose from. Would deffinitely re-book - thank you.

Ideal for golfers

We stayed here for our first trip to Vilamoura and would definitely re-book. The accomadation is ideal for golfers visiting. It is spacious, clean and only a short walk to the marina where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Parking is behind electric gates so very secure. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent property in Vilamoura

Our family of four had a fantastic stay at Casalinda in Vilamoura. From arranging our booking with Pam to our transfers with Antonio for our 6 night stay nothing was too much trouble. We were spoilt with the beautiful weather at this time of year too. We used the free bike passes a lot to ride to the beaches and marina which the kids loved. The apartment is well equipped and furnished and a great layout just a few steps from the garden area. Most days we had the pool to ourselves. We used the outside BBQ most days. The local supermarket Jaffers has a great meat counter with fresh kebabs. It was our first stay in Portugal and will definitely return. Thanks Pam!

Local services

Transport 

Taxis operate from official taxi ranks. There’s a rank outside the casino and one on Rua do Clube Náutico.. If you need transport to and from Faro Airport, I have a great contact that is very reliable and professional, Antonio.transfers@hotmail.com

 

The local council operates a loop bus route around Vilamoura and Quarteira called the Linha Verde (Green Line).  Buses run about every 30 minutes and you buy tickets from the driver.

Vilamoura has its own tourist train service, which operates from the beginning of March to the end of October. The tourist train starts at Praia da Marina (Hotel Vila Galé) and stops at several key locations. The service runs on the hour from 10am.

If you’d rather hire a vehicle, there are numerous hire companies offering good deals.
