Guestbook comments from the owner

What a super base this is to explore this wonderful area. The view across the loch enticed us to visit the Ardnamurchan peninsula -- a beautiful trip on a glorious autumnal day.

Loch view cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage has stunning views over the loch to the mountains behind. It faces West and the sunsets were spectacular. It was very clean and well equipped with everything that we required for our stay. Glen Coe, Oban and Fort William (for Ben Nevis) are all within a short drive which made it perfectly positioned for walking and photography. Kentallen has no shops but the Co-op in Ballachulish is nearby and there is a restaurant directly opposite the cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to others.

Fantastic views from a lovely house

  • 5 of 5

We had a really enjoyable week with a family group.

The views from the house across Loch Linnhe are wonderful and the house is well situated for walks from the pass of Glencoe.

There was plenty of room - the sun room being the favourite room to relax in, even when there wasn't any sun.

The house is well equipped for catering for a large family group.

We hope to return!

Large, cosy cottage with spectacular views 😊

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 absolutely loved our 2 week stay at the cottage!! The house is advertised as having stunning views, and this is certainly not an exaggeration! The views from the lounge, conservatory and even bedrooms are utterly spectacular - truly one of the most beautiful settings we've ever stayed in 😊?

Another blessing is that the house is really large - 4 bedrooms, 2 lounge areas and a separate dining room. This made for an excellent family holiday, giving everyone ample opportunity to have their own space and do their own thing when they wanted to.

The cottage is also remarkably well equipped. For us having a washing machine, tumble dryer and a dishwasher was a real bonus and something we have not typically encountered when staying in similar cottages before. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything one could possibly need on a holiday. The plentiful array of maps and local information was also very useful in helping us to make maximum use of the area. The various outings we did as a result of this information were amazingly beautiful....but if one is feeling lazy, all you really need to do is step out of the front door onto cycle route 78 to gain instant access to utterly splendid walks and scenery!!!

Just to top things off even more - the owners were really lovely and very helpful too - quick to respond to queries and so very thoughtful of their guests. Being Christmas over the period we were at the cottage, they had put up a Christmas tree for us and decorated the home...what a gorgeous touch that one does not typically see 😊?

Thanks Allen and Pat for a wonderful stay! We cannot recommend highly enough...and will definitely aim to return here when we next make the looooooong journey from Australia!!

Great location and great views

  • 4 of 5

House was well looked after and generous with underfloor heating downstairs. Kitchen is well equipped though the cooker is induction type which is not the best for those who like to cook. There are walks almost from the doorstep and of course the views of the loch are wonderful. Basic food shopping is available in Glen Coe but Fort William is the nearest place for groceries. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Lovely place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This home is a very lovely place and very roomy. It could easily accommodate 3 couples with its 2 1/2 baths. Just bring extra toilet tissue if you are from the US. It has a laundry room, huge master bedroom with a bath plus 2 more bedrooms upstairs with an additional bath. There is one roomy additional bedroom on the ground level. The house is in a neighborhood that has only about 8 homes and overlooks the Loch. The sun room is lovely and comfortable. It is truly a home away from home.
