The village of Hannas with its 150 inhabitants belongs to Simrishamns and is located in the middle of the eastern countryside of Österlen. Here is the church of Hana whose oldest parts are medieval. At harvest time, you can buy potatoes, onions or fruit directly from the farmer along the roadside.
Three kilometers from Hannas lies the small community Hammenhög. There is a supermarket and pizzeria, shops, loppis, art clubs and bus links.
The nearest town is Tomelilla, which is 7 kilometers from Hannas. There is a large supermarket, system company and other services. On the third Thursday of July each year, Tomelilla is held in central Tomelilla. There is also the Hasseåtage Museum, with Sweden's smallest cinema. For those who travel with children, here is also Tosselilla lekland.
10 km away lies the cute summer town of Simrishamn. There are cobbled streets, fishermen's houses, restaurants with outdoor dining, cafes, shops and cultural life. Every Saturday in the summer there is a well-known flea in the walk of Sighs.
In close proximity to the accommodation there are also sights and excursions such as Glimminge House, Sten's head, Kivik, Skillinge Theater and Ystad Salt Lake Bath.
There are good train and bus connections to both Simrishamn and Tomelilla. To Hammenhög, bus line 570 runs between Ystad and Simrishamn. From Simrishamn, bus line 576 goes to Hannas, but due to Hannas being such a small city, all trips must be ordered at least two hours before departure. We therefore recommend the warmest to have your own car to get the most out of your stay in Österlen. For guests without our own car we can collect and leave at the desired bus or train station. In the yard there is a bike to borrow.
