I am a lifelong Londoner and a huge fan of this vibrant and exciting city.
With a background in IT and property development I love taking character properties and renovating them to create interesting, contemporary apartments packed with interesting lighting effects and cutting edge home cinema systems.
I love meeting people from all over the world and introducing them to my wonderful city.
I hope you will find my apartments both comfortable and stimulating. You will find a warm welcome and a ready smile.
Mr Raquib Shamsad purchased this apartment in 2005
The apartment is in a fantastic location, only 300m from exciting Brick Lane and vibrant Shoreditch.
The garden is a little haven amidst the hustle and bustle of central London.
The neighbours are lovely and look out for one another.
The property was as advertised. Raquib was very responsive to everything we needed. The first day the projector bulb in the living room went bad and was shutting off. I notified him and when we arrived back to the flat a whole new projector was installed. They were also accommodating to our travel needs for arrival and departure. The location was good and walking distance to Brick Lane which was very festive with restaurants and nightlife. We would consider staying there again for a future trip.
Overall the experience was great! Both brothers were attentive, nice, and there if we needed them. The location is great! Super close to Brick Lane and Shoreditch High Street. It was close to our office so we were able to walk rather than taking public transport! A dream. :) The house was a good size with lots of bedrooms to accommodate guests. It was generally clean, beds are comfortable, and bedding/towels were clean. My only critique was that the house could use a deeper clean. There's some marking around the house, a little dust, etc, otherwise it was lovely. Thank you!
I'm a local EastEnder so seeing a property like this little gem is just amazing! When we first arrived, I couldn't quite work out which house it was (you would never think a property like this would look this good inside, because the surrounding apartments pretty much look the same from the outside - plain, simple, humble). But as soon as you enter the apartment, it's just full of surprises. Me & my guests couldn't stop saying "ooo", "oh wow", "OMG". The whole place was clean, stove and oven were easy to use, loads of cool gadgets in there too like the light up floor clock and the projector on the wall! As well as the small flashing lights by the stairs!
The bedrooms were all very decent sizes, loads of space, even for storage, and the shower/bath facilities were really good - never run out of water, and the shower head is very strong which is always a plus for me, because I've stayed in places where the water was very weak, especially if you're using the water all at the same time, but the shower heads were never affected, thank goodness!
To top that all off, both Raquib and his brother Shaiful were lovely hosts, and welcomed us all very much. They answered all our questions, were very informative, and knowledgeable of the surrounding area, and also sorted us with parking scratch cards which definitely came in handy for all our driving guests!
The whole stay was absolutely flawless, and I recommend this to anyone who wants to stay here with a big group, especially if you're doing gatherings, dinners, etc. The location is perfect, especially if you're into Brick Lane Market, street food, and a good nightlife too! Only a 5 min walk or so to Shoreditch High Street station, and 10 mins to Liverpool Street station, so easy to get anywhere. Last but not least, the bagel shop is just there, which do delicious salt beef & mustard bagels - I always recommend this to anyone who comes down to East London.
Thank you again Raquib for an unforgettable stay. I can vouch for my friends and say they were very impressed by the property, and was very pleased with the stay overall. If you're looking at this property, I would definitely recommend it 100%! :)
Our stay at Raquib's apartment was perfect. It is ideally located for anyone wishing to experience what is an upcoming area. It is beautifully presented and makes the most of the space available. Unlike so many other apartments, a great deal of thought has been put into the guests' experience as everything is catered for. The projector is a great idea and we loved watching films on it after our meal. It is just 5 minutes walk from the high street and the Sunday morning market was excellent.
However, the highlight was undoubtedly the host. Raquib was extremely flexible and gives a great welcome talk to help you maximize your stay. He is very contactable and dealt with the repayment of the deposit efficiently. I could not see myself staying anywhere else in the area, such was the great experience our group had.

This was the last leg of our stay in the United Kingdom prior to our flight back home to Canada again on the Friday morning. We had been looking merely for a place to kick back our feet and relax. Mr Raquib was so pleasant and heart warming, his optimism and enthusiasm very contagious, making his welcome fit our hearts' needs at the end of what had been a long journey to date.
When we first arrived, we were so very tired but after a short rest took a walk through the neighbourhood to find ourselves a lovely supper at a nearby restaurant (an exquisite and quaint little Asian place that I wish I could remember the name of). The location of the flat turned out to be quite ideal, a short walk for shopping and just a bit longer walk (but still reasonable) for the tube station.
There were 6 of us, ranging in age from 15 to 71. The flat was ideal and clean and comfortable to accommodate all of our sleeping arrangements. Though we weren't there long enough to really prepare our own meals except for our breakfasts, Mr. Raquib had ever so kindly had the apartment equipped with the amenities ready that we'd have required should we have been preparing more meals.
There are many families that I feel would find this space precisely what they required to accommodate a larger group in a location that has every day needs within an ideal walking distance. Certainly I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Raquib's inviting personality.
