This beautifully maintained island property, which is just 100 steps from the beach and beach access, has been furnished with a decorator's touch. Lush landscaping sets this house apart and the inviting beach decor will lower your stress level and ease you into vacation mode. This spacious 1700 square foot unit has plenty of room for everyone to find their own quiet place, but also larger areas to gather together and play games, watch TV or cook together. The property also has an air/conditioned and heated screened lanai as well as large decks on the front and back. The back deck also has table and chairs with an umbrella and it overlooks the pool.

In the garage you'll find the laundry area and you'll also find beach carts, beach umbrellas and chairs and there are usually lots of beach and pool toys that guests have left behind for your enjoyment as well. The white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are just a few steps away so grab the beach cart, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and pop-up shade canopy and start your vacation!

After a day on the beach and in the warm Gulf water you can return to the tranquil setting of the backyard and sip a cool drink while floating in the heated pool or take a nap while listening to your favorite music.

Cook a gourmet meal in the fully appointed kitchen with your family/friends gathered around the breakfast bar, or head out to the rear deck for a bar-b-que. Not in the mood to cook? Walk or drive to one of the many great restaurants on the island or hop on the free island trolley (it stops right across the street) and venture into town for shopping or a visit to the City Pier. But be sure not to miss the stunning sunsets. You can watch the nightly sunset pilgrimage while relaxing in the lanai as the curtains ripple in the evening breeze. It's perfection!

About Marilyn Misiorowski

We're Marilyn and Jim Misiorowski and we've lived in So. California for the past 30 years. We first started coming to Anna Maria Island after James' parents moved from Chicago to the Perico Bay Club in nearby Bradenton in the 1980's. We immediately loved the small town feel of the island and in 2005 we bought this home in anticipation of retiring here. In the meantime, we completely remodeled it, added a pool, landscaping, changed the entry to the upper floor and redecorated with new furnishings with an 'island decor'. We really love coming to the island whenever we have time and someday plan to be there at least 6 months a year.

What makes this house unique

You'll have everything you need at our little slice of paradise. The beach is right across the street and you don't even have to drive if you don't want to because the island trolley stops just across from our house. The island restaurants are great and plentiful, and one of our favorites is just a block away. You'll also love the friendliness of the locals and the fact that there are no high rises and very few franchise type businesses on the island. Our property's proximity to the beach is definitely what sold us on it. Being a minute walk to the beach makes it so easy to run home if nature calls!

One of our favorite places is the lanai. It's a great place to enjoy the scenery, read a book, play a game or just take a nap! The back deck is also fantastic and you'll love to sit there while barbecuing and listen to the palms swaying in the breeze. It's so special. There is so much room, inside and out, everyone can find their special place to be.

We loved how close the beach was so that we could take shovels and buckets and paddle boards. We also used the pool a lot. It was refreshing. The sunsets were absolutely beautiful. They were very colorful. We made new friends. The water from the ocean had a perfect temperature. Thank you for letting us stay. We have stayed on Anna Maria Island twice before and we particularly enjoyed this house and location. Thank you!

Large spacious 2nd floor duplex. Immaculate, awesome porch and front deck. Walk to the beach was short and sweet. It was great to have the trolley stop across the street. We will come back!

Just Perfect

My daughter and I stayed there over the Thanksgiving weekend. It couldn't have been more perfect. Quick response from the owner and easy check-in with Island Realty. The location is ideal - right across the street, which isn't busy, from beach access and beach trolley stop, and it within walking distance from some nice restaurants as well. The apartment itself is nicely appointed. There are two large porches front and back. You have to really crane your neck to see the Gulf, but the street isn't busy, so it's just lovely sitting out front with the breezes and palm trees. The back has a nice table and grill that overlooks the pool which is shared with the apartment below. The glassed in porch in the front of the house is a pleasant place to sit when the weather isn't perfect. Or you could open the windows and it is basically a screened in porch. I think there were screens..... Kitchen well stocked. I am going to write about a couple issues that will seem like are major complaints, but they are mostly for their FYI. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend the rental to anyone planning on staying on AMI. That said we had an issue with the front door lock - it was really (as in REALLY) hard to get the key to open it. Island Realty sent someone over, but all they did was throw a bit of graphite or WD-40 on it which didn't solve the issue. I'm sure maintenance knew that, so that was annoying. They just need to change out the lock. Can't be that expensive. The only other thing was they asked you to not use the white towels to take off your make-up. Seriously? There were only white towels. Did they think no woman was going to rent the place and no one need to remove their make-up? They did supply a couple make-up remover pads, but not enough for our stay. OK - how much do towels cost at TJMaxx? They couldn't have some darker ones so they wouldn't seem so picky? Just small things. Really loved our stay overall.

And yes, that little view of the Gulf is a nice surprise for our guests, since we don't advertise the property as having a view. Also, thank you for letting us know about the door lock. It was replaced in September of this year so it must need some adjusting, or maybe a new key. Your idea about having some dark towels for makeup removal is helpful and we'll mention that to our property managers as well. Have a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy 2018!

Perfect Vacation Property

We just returned from our sweet vacation on Anna Maria Island. Our stay was highlighted with a perfect choice in this vacation rental. The upstairs unit was extremely roomy for our family of four. The front and back porches, along with the sunroom, added so much extra room for us to all have plenty of space. It's nicely updated and had everything we needed at our fingertips. Best of all is the location, we loved being only a few steps to the beach. Our teen daughters enjoyed riding bikes to the ice cream shop and stores just down the street. Of course, the pool was a great way to end each day! Great house, amazing location, perfect vacation!

GREAT location. Great house

We had a really good week. This house is in a great location. It really is 100 steps to sand! Right next to a free trolley stop. Easy to get to restaurants and retail. The house is comfortable and easy to live in. Loved the front porch. I would recommend this property

Great Place!

We stayed here for a week in May 2017 and we loved it! Very spacious two bedroom, two bath, with a good size kitchen - all nicely decorated. Loved that there were two decks - we could always find shade outside! The deck in the front overlooked the trolley stop and we could watch people walking to the beach. The deck in the back had a patio table and umbrella and overlooked the small pool. Then there was the lanai for some AC and sunlight. The beach really was just one block away. There were multiple wagons, umbrellas, pool noodles, beach chairs, and beach toys available for sharing between the upstairs and downstairs unit. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Very Clean, well-appointed and spacious

We stayed for 6 nights in late Sept 2016. Was the first time we were on the island during red tide so we were very thankful to be a block off the beach and have the pool for our kids to enjoy since the beach was pretty bad for a couple of days. By the end of our stay, the beach was better but we still spent a ton of time in the pool.

This unit has everything, from wine openers to mixing bowls to beach toys to air mattresses to nice little baskets to store toys or supplies during your trip. One of the best units we have ever rented on VRBO.
