The world-renowned Swiss rail service gives easy access throughout Switzerland and Europe. Pick-up facilities for guests are available from the station and Geneva airport.
Summer Activities: Walking along well-marked routes and mountain access via cable cars, skiing at famed Diableret glacier, fishing, white-water rafting and canoeing, mountain biking, cycling, swimming (public outdoor pool), tennis, tenpin bowling, golf (Gstaad and Villars GCs), mini-golf, horse riding, archery, via ferrata, hot-air ballooning. Nice flat with two bedrooms (+2 bathrooms), separated by lounge with seating/eating place, TV+DVD, HiFI. Kitchenette with all amenities, free coffe capsules, Small balcony but with nice view. All in modern building + pool + gym, superclean and perfectly maintained. All in the cosy Chateau d'Oex, driving distance from Geneve and Gstaad. The owners will want to have a direct talk with you and you'll find them plesant and helpful.
Overall a very plesant ski (or just relaxing break). Highly recommended
Excellent apartment. Very well equipped. Superb mountain views. Access to many walks and attractions in the area. Within walking distance of the train station which gives access to a wider area easily. Only downside if you are a walker is the steep walk up to the apartment. Excellent leisure facilities.
Chateau D'Oex is a small traditional, French-speaking alpine town - gateway to the Pays d'Enhaut/the White Highlands linking to the cultural and fashionable towns of Gstaad, Saanen and Rougemont and historical Gruyere. There is easy access to lakeside Lausanne, Montreux and Geneva.
