About Leigh Nicholson

We lived in Switzerland for many years and fell in love with the mountains, enjoying a couple of seasons in the chalet in Davos before moving to Amsterdam. We don't visit as often as we would like, however we are very happy to share our home-away-from-home with fellow mountain enthusiasts.

Leigh Nicholson purchased this chalet in 2008

Why Leigh Nicholson chose Davos

We are avid skiers and summer hikers who enjoyed visiting Davos often, however we struggled to find chalet accommodations as there are very few of the original cosy and charming chalets left. We were closely involved in every step of the renovation to ensure that the chalet retained it's classic alpine feel, while offering modern luxuries.

What makes this chalet unique

The chalet is well situated, but it is quiet and peaceful: being centrally located one can walk to everything, but it is also secluded, away from the street on it's own private wooded and fenced lot. Being able to park the car and not drive anywhere during our stays is a delight.

Sehr gemütliche Woche in einem schönen Chalet...

  • 5 of 5

Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Lovely Chalet

  • 5 of 5

That’s the coziest chalet I have ever seen and that’s why we stay there during 1 week every year starting 2013! It’s on the one hand little but has everything one needs. The chalet is furnished with such an elegance and taste, that it makes you fall in love with it straight away. Every little detail there is there for something. The chimney together with wooden walls and serenity of the mountains make it a perfect place to escape from a city noise, overloads at work and daily routine. Here no one rushes. It’s a place where life seems to slow down its frantic pace. That’s a perfect place to relax, have lazy mornings sipping coffee and warm evenings drinking wine and eating fondue. That is a paradise for skiers. The host of the chalet is a very lovely, attentive and polite person. He’s the one who’s easy to deal with. And there’s always very helpful Barbara, who looks after the house and is always there to help you if you have a problem. I would strongly recommend the chalet to anyone who wants to recharge his batteries. That will be your personal paradise island lost in the Alps

Sweet week in a chalet

  • 5 of 5

A little town of Davos, big and impressive Alps around, sunny days but frosty evenings, a little cozy chalet, a chimney, a bit of romance…our stay in one word was sweet. If you wanna get out at least for some time from a busy bustling and noisy cities, to get some time for yourself – that’s a perfect place. Though the chalet isn’t huge it has everything one might need. And it’s lovely, with its fireplace, two bedrooms, wooden furniture and modern equipment. It was our second stay there and I hope we’ll get back there in the future, because we fell totally in love with this chalet.
