About the property

Spacious holiday home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and large sunny terrace.

Situated in the ever popular area of Torviscas this apartment is close to all the amenities of San Eujenio, Porto Colon and Fanabe. Great restaurants, bars and entertainment. Superb location in the south of Tenerife.

Apartment directly overlooks the main pool area and enjoys one of the very best positions within the complex. Access from the road is very good and not far to carry luggage.

You can walk to the nearest beach in about five minutes where there is safe and shallow bathing. Beautiful promenade walks in both directions: Left (south) towards Las Americas and the resort of Los Christianos or Right (north) towards the El Duque area and the little fishing village of La Caleta, where as you might expect there is a profusion of fish restaurants - and a couple of good Italian eating houses to boot.

Locally there are several good restaurants and bars right on the door step and it is only a short walk to many others, some of which also have free entertainment. Basicly you are spoilt for choice. Quite a few places offer a 3 course special menu for €7 - €10. Canarian style, Chinese, Indian, Italian and British home cooking - it's all here!

I know I would be expected to say this but I really think this is one of the very best spots on Tenerife for a number of reasons, and especially for couples and families.

This apartment is in Torviscas and is only about 15 mins from the airport - 20 mins max. As I expect you can appreciate from the pictures this is a larger apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is a double en-suite, bedroom 2 is a twin en-suite and the 3rd bedroom is a small double. Air-conditioning is installed in the master bedroom and there are electric fans in other rooms. The apartment has a big balcony/terrace (big enough for a table/6 chairs AND 6 sunloungers), and a nice veranda for when you want to keep in the shade a bit, which has it's own small table +3 chairs. The balcony, which gets the sun all day, directly overlooks the main swimming pool and the apartment enjoys an excellent position making it light and airy. I have two sliding patio doors in the main living room so we are fortunate to have good natural ventilation and even a nice gentle breeze at times with both doors open.

There is always a lifeguard on duty in the pool area and there is also a 24 hour security patrol.

There is good lighting and large mirrors in all rooms.

There is an iron, ironing board and two hair dryers!

There is an electronic wall safe which is free for guests to use.

The kitchen area is well equipped with an automatic washing machine, cooker hob, table top oven, fridge, microwave and toaster.

There is a full linen change include towels every 7 days. There is also an additional towel change on a Tuesday of every week. This is included in the price.

Visit the fantastic Siam Park, Tenerife: Siam Park is so much more than a water park. These are just a few of the water rides which have made the Park so popular over the last three years since its opening in 2008.

You don't have to be an adrenaline addict, or surfer to enjoy the park. You don't even have to be a swimmer! The magical world of Siam, with it's Thai theme throughout, is set in a lush, green and tranquil environment that the whole family can enjoy, young or old.

Family fun at Siam Park, whatever your age!Stroll around the winding pathways where you will discover the sea-lions from Loro Parque and the Koi Carp swimming beneath the wooden walkways as the lazy river flows gently by. Visit the authentic Thai themed floating market and be taken back to the magical kingdom of Siam!

Tenerife Markets: There are markets all over Tenerife, some very local in flavour and others like the huge Sunday market in Los Crisitanos, geared very much to tourists.

Torviscas Market (Sat) and Los Cristionos (Sun)

The two biggest markets in the south of Tenerife are always busy and always provide a bargain. The masses of stalls include clothing, a fashion show, health, books, electrical, fabrics, souvenirs and jewellery.

Los Abrigos Night Market

This little market is held in the square in front of the church every Tuesday evening.

Though there are not so many stalls to browse through, you might still pick up some interesting sliver jewellery, some casual clothes for your holidays or a gift or two.

After the market, you might wander down the sea front at Los Abrigos to enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many little restaurants there.

Speciality shops

Tenerife Pearl

At Armenime in the south, Tenerife's Palace of Pearls, where thousands of square feet are devoted to pearls and pearl jewel.

Local shops: there is a convenience store on the complex and this is open until 10pm every day. Handy for milk and fresh bread etc. The nearest supermarket is the Hyper Dino on the main road, not far from the taxi rank, on the corner opposite the Santa Maria – it’s pretty good. For cheapest prices tho you have to find a Spanish supermarket and the nearest one is situated downstairs in the basement of the San Eujenio shopping complex or 'Centro Comerciale' where the Mercadona supermarket is situated. Worth a visit and if you walk from the apartment at a leisurely pace, up the hill, I think it takes about 10 - 15 mins. You can always get a taxi back down with the shopping! There is a taxi rank just outside the centre.

I was born in North London but I have lived in the North East of England since 1970. I discovered Tenerife 17 years ago and I now spend as much time here as my business will allow. If you have not been to Tenerife before I can thoroughly recommend it and who knows, like me - you may become addicted too.

Why The Owner chose Adeje

Superb location in TORVISCAS directly overlooks the main pool area and enjoys one of the very best positions within this Diamond Resorts complex. Access from the road is very good and not far to carry luggage. Dedicated fibre-optic wifi, fast and free.

Also close to the beach and all the restaurants, bars and nightlife of San Eujenio, Porto Colon, Torviscas and Fanabe.

I know I would be expected to say this but I really think this is one of the very best spots in Tenerife for any number of reasons; for couples, for families and for groups of friends just wanting to get together for good food, good company and that all important warm and sunny climate. 3 bedrooms (2 bathrooms) offers extra privacy to smaller parties and economical accommodation to larger parties of up to a maximum of six persons.

What makes this apartment unique

Tenerife is a beautiful and diverse island and it's only a four and a half hour flight from the UK. There really is something here for everyone. Tenerife enjoys one of the world's best climates which is why it is often described as the ‘island of eternal spring.’ This beautiful place, located just off the north coast of Africa, promises sunshine, glorious blue skies and warm temperatures the whole year round. Annually it boasts more days of sunshine than most other holiday destinations with very few rainy days.

This characteristic Canarian climate produces some unique situations including seeing snow in the mountains. This is particularly interesting in Mount Teide National Park where snow usually falls every year during the winter months, while the rest of the island’s coastline enjoys beautiful sunshine. You can literally be cooling off in the warm ocean while looking up at El Teide, which is often covered in snow... a fantastic sight!

“Great Resort ”

We have holidayed in Tenerife many times but never stayed in Costa Adeje, what a great resort. Sunset Bay Club has a great location and is only a few minutes walk to the Promenade, or Marina. We stayed in block I which was right in Reception Square near the restaurants. We have no complaints of noise we were out every evening as the resort has so much to offer. We did return one night to find entertainment in the square so we grabbed a drink and joined in! There are two pools available the top pool is very busy and is the smaller of the two and you do need to be up early to grab a sun bed but the lower larger pool had plenty available at any time of the day. A fabulous resort and a well managed facility that we most definitely will be returning to.

There are two electronic safes for valuables which are free to use.

Fantastic location in a lovely complex

Apartment is exactly like the images with the large patio area being the highlight. Great position within the complex overlooking the lovely pool. We didn't use the other pool area at all but that was heated and a bit livelier. Plenty of bars and restaurants within the complex and not far to all other places of interest. Great base to walk along the coast for miles either way with great views. Owner was really helpful and even let us have a late checkout which was fab on the last day. Would definitely like to return. Thanks Jon!!

Great apartment, Great location

Excellent holiday in superb apartment

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in Jon's apartment. Once again we found the apartment wonderful with everything you could need for a perfect holiday. The large balcony overlooking the pool is just magnificent. The Indian restaurant - Bombay Balu was excellent and only a short walk from the apartment as was La Sirena which is just at the entrance to the complex. Lovely relaxing holiday, shame we had to return home to the cold British weather.

Great apartment and location

Loved this apartment! I stayed with my Mum and daughter so we each had our own bedroom. The apartment is well equipped, spacious and the terrace, which overlooked one of the pools was really large. We particularly enjoyed the covered part of the terrace which felt like can extension of the lounge. There are a number of bars and restaurants on site - we were going to visit the Sun Inn but it was always packed so we ate down on the sea front which seemed to be reasonable prices. I must mention the heated pool as we spent every late afternoon there and it was lovely.

The only thing to mention is that it was noisy, from the bars, until midnight then it all went quiet. This was fine as we tended to go to bed at was then peaceful and we all slept really well.

Owner's Response: Thank you for this wonderful review - I couldn't really have put it better myself! It's true you can hear the people in the bars on the complex, especially if you are out on the veranda with the patio doors open. However none of my guests has ever complained about the noise as this is a touristic holiday complex and there is a strict rule that all noise must stop at 12 midnight. I suppose you could say that the complex is a victim of it's own success as it is so popular and consequently there is evidence of people enjoying themselves. The overnight security is good tho and the curfew is strict - all off at midnight.

Spacious apartment located in Torviscas, Costa Adeje - South Tenerife and close to all bars and restaurants of St. Eujenio and Fanabe. There are several very good and reasonably priced restaurants within two minutes walk from the apartment which occupies a superb position overlooking the pool area. There is a veranda and large all-day sunny balcony with tables, chairs and sun loungers. Well equipped kitchen + washing machine. Just a 5 minute walk from either the Puerto Colon Marina with its seafront terrace cafes and international restaurants or the beaches of Torviscas and Fañabé. Next to the swimming pool is a poolside cafe/bar and a kiddies paddling pool. Lifeguard. Full UK TV, DVD player & HiFi with iPod dock. Free entertainment at many places within easy walking distance. The fantastic Aqualand Water Park & Dolphin Show is close by and there are several other attractions within easy reach.

With it's relaxed and friendly atmosphere the complex has excellent security and is one of the best loved destinations in the Canary Islands. Ideally located on the outskirts of Playa de las Americas and only 15 min. from the airport.

Golf: Every day is a golfing day in Tenerife, and with a great all year climate, even losing wont feel so bad. There are nine courses on the island, two are nine hole tasters for the big championship courses, but even they are blessed with a full range of training facilities, restaurants and unique views.

1. There are two modern golf courses within ten minutes of the Reina Sofia airport in the South of the island. The first of them, Golf del Sur is a stunning course, with wide fairways and challenging water hazards weaving round ravines and volcanic sand traps and dipping towards the sea.

2. Next door is another purpose built resort Amarilla Golf where designer Donald Steel let nature take centre stage and you will find yourself facing an impressive mountain range at some holes and hugging the coast path at others. At the 5th hole you even have to chip over the incoming sea.

3. Golf los Palos is the other 9 hole course and is a little further west towards Los Cristianos. The shop, restaurant and kids playground will look after your needs and it’s a great way for beginners to start.

4. Here’s a real surprise, one of the most attractive and restful courses is Campo de Golf Las Americas sandwiched between the bar and club capital of the south and the motorway but an oasis of calm in it’s natural amphitheatre setting.

5. Golf Costa Adeje went one better, staging the 2003 Men Spanish Open, and how could they not have been impressed by the 27 holes from mountains down to the sea.
