The "Sweet home" house is part of the farm Walden Farm, a beautiful and harmonious place surrounded by woods, olive groves and pastures in the heart of Umbria, a place to stay in contact with nature and find new rhythms.
It is a detached house with its own entrance and garden, as well as a PRIVATE GARDEN on the back for grilling and relaxation, with an outdoor shower. It is accessed by a beautiful PORCHED WINDOW and furnished with dining table and chairs, the interior of the house consists of a large LIVING ROOM WITH FIREPLACE, a spacious kitchen with extendable table for up to 12 people, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a closet.
Inside the farm there are animals that can always be visited, a restaurant open on reservation which offers simple and genuine meals and uses many ingredients of our farm, a salt water pool covered in the middle seasons and open in summer, large play areas with equipment for children, is surrounded by forest that offers beautiful paths for both easy and more challenging walks, a sauna in a cave in the woods.
In Walden you can take cooking classes, booking them first, a 3-hour course to prepare typical Umbrian-Italian dishes, a first course of homemade pasta with a seasonal sauce and to finish a dessert. The preparation is then consumed at the table together.
We have a vegetable garden where we produce organic vegetables and where our guests can use it for free and discreetly, or they can consume them at the restaurant.
The structure is equipped with a photovoltaic system and therefore independent of the power supply.
Nearby you can do various activities such as horseback riding, hiking and biking, visit of many places of cultural interest, artistic and landscape, places for wine tasting and traditional dishes.
An ideal place for children too, where they can play freely.
In Walden we live in 3, we are a small family, Jennifer, Stefano and little David. We manage this family farm born in 1999.
We love nature and the rhythms of it, we work with passion and we carry forward family principles such as respect for nature, for others and for ourselves.
