Perfect location for our cycling holiday

This home is located in one of our favorite areas to visit in France. We were lucky to stay at the house for a cycling vacation in Sept 2016. As all previous reviews stated, the house is great and the owner is extremely responsive and very helpful. If you are looking for a good base for a road cycling holiday - you've found it. The property is located in a very small village and is quite private. The house is very well equipped and has a garage for bikes. Many wineries are within hiking distance - definitely worth sampling! Can't wait to visit again!

Our second visit to this home!

Lovely home in a charming village in the Vaucluse. This is the second time our family rented this house over the last 2 years. The house is very comfortable, located in a very charming village with views to the Dentelles de Montmirail from the bedroom windows. Nice linens, modern bathroom and kitchen. Everything is very nicely appointed and well maintained. The property manager was helpful and checked in on us at the beginning of our stay. The owner is quick to respond to emails and also very helpful. We would highly recommend the property!

Idyllic setting

After a very long drive from the UK we arrived to a wonderfully idyllic location and extrememly comfortable beds. The house is large, spacious and well-equipped. We only needed 2 bedrooms but struggled to know which to choose as they are all so attractively furnished. Our daughter acutally picked the best room without our realising as she had a stunning view of the surrounding mountains that has since been my screen saver and an object of constant admiration. The house has everything you might need including some delicious olive oil care of the Oubron family. We would recommend this retreat to anyone wanting to escape the hustle of city life and take time out to recharge their batteries. It also has the added bonus of wifi, which is a must if you are taking any teenagers with you.

Really delightful house in lovely countryside

I've not much to add to the previous review. Except to say that the house and surroundings were truly delightful. The rooms were spacious and well furnished - the bed I slept in was extremely comfortable and everything was beautifully clean. The shower was great. Set in lovely gardens with olive trees and mature shrubs - glorious in Summer I should imagine, the house has a really lovely tranquil feel and is very comfortable exuding a warmth - you can tell this has been a very happy family home. We arrived just as the sleepy village was awakening in preparation for the long summer months but it still had a lovely feel, the restaurant owners made us feel especially welcome on our last evening with a beautifully cooked meal, they opened just for us as their summer preparations were not quite finished. The nearby village of Baume de Vernise is a short drive away as is Capentras -well worth a visit on market day. All in all a lovely stay in a beautiful house with briliant friends - can't really ask for more than that!

Lovely house in beautiful surroundings.

I stayed here with 3 friend for 4 days in April.The house is situated at the bottom of the picturesque village of La Roque Alric, and from the rear of the house you can walk up to the village centre and then further on to the next village-if you are fit! There is a tea shop/restaurant in the village which I highly recommend.

The house is very well proportioned with plenty of living space inside and lots of lovely outdoor space with mature trees and shrubs.

The kitchen and bathroom are new and are well equipped. Although it is a holiday home the house is very homely and has some lovely traditional furniture and paintings.

The lounge has an open fire which we burned logs on during one cool evening.

The best bit of the house is it's situation- It is completely tranquil and an ideal place for those who want to get away from it all and enjoy the amazing countryside.

The nearest village with shops etc is Beaume de Venis which is approximately 15 minutes drive.

A family home situated in the picturesque village of La Roque-Alric in Provence .The house is situated on a terraced property of 2000m2 surrounded by almond trees, olive trees and with an exceptional view across the 'Dentelles de Montmirail'. A quiet spot for a hoilday with friends or family. Close to the Mont Ventoux, the location is ideal for ramblers, cyclists and mountain bikers alike. There are several places to go swimming: Choose from the Open air swimming pool in Beaumes-de-venise (7km), Lac-du-Paty (6km) or the man made beach on the Mormoiron reservoir (8km). Various possibilities to visit famous wine growing villages such as Gigondas or well known geological and archaelogical sites (Avignon, Orange, Vaison-La-Romaine or Roussillon...) The house has 2 terraces facing North and South as well as several shaded areas. Feel free to discover the grounds of the property by pitching up your deckchair wherever you please!
