Wow, what a great place, beautiful and very clean
We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was so clean and nice. Great beds, kitchen and living area. Easy to get to and close to so many neat places. I would stay here again in a minute. Thank you for sharing your place with us.
A great place to relax and unwind
If it is quiet and seclution that you are after, this is the place. We had a great time just enjoying the deck and the view of the river. While the house is right on the river, it sits well above and there is no river access from the property. But if fishing is your thing, this home is very near many commercial fishiong guides and well as places you can fish from the bank.
All is all it was perfect for what we were after.
Cozy and functional cabin overlooking the Kasilof river
This place was perfect, we came for a 5 night stay for our fishing trip. 4 of us slept comfortably with one in the lower room, two in the upper room (one bed each), and one on the pullout futon. We didn't spend a lot of time at the cabin, but we did cook all our meals and use the laundry and the wood burning stove. The water was piping hot when we needed it. The view of the river was a bit covered by trees but was wonderful nonetheless. The river really can't be accessed as the cabin is 20ft above level with a steep cliff. Next to the cabin is a larger home on the same property. Tom, the owner, wasn't there but we met a few of his friends from Anchorage and they were great people to chat with. Overall, for a secluded feel, a comfortable stay, and a great price, I'd say this place was perfect.
Spoil yourself while dip-netting!
We had a very relaxing time just mellowing out at this property. My elder mother came to visit from the Lower 48 so we needed a bed for her instead of just camping like we usually do when we dipnet. It was affordable and very cozy! It was great to warm up next to the wood stove after dip-netting the Kenai and the Kasilof. Did not miss camping at all--so nice to crawl into a bed vs a sleeping bag.
Wr really enjoyed our stay at Tom's place. It was off the beaten path which was perfect.
Our family of 6 enjoyed our time at Tom's place. It was quiet and seeing moose was exciting. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking which was nice.
We would love to stay there again when we get back to Alaska.
Only wish we had more time to spend with Tom.. Lots in common..
