Deceiving information of Cozy Cabin in the woods
Your interpretation cabin's accommodations very deceiving.few feet from the cabin a heavy traveled road of various vehicles from six a.m. to nine p.m.(anxiety of stress, nerves, upset). Able to see town of Rangeley, bike sidewalk. One side is a huge logged house. Clearance of trees on both properties. Behind plus side of cabin are some trees and bushes. Front of cabin, four pine trees, in between trees, a wide gap, clearly see house across road. Coffee in mud room,, made up of personal belongs. Traffic of vehicles minus coffee (stress and anxiety). Less of two days, out of here.
Contacting two Vacation Agencies, conversation of your cabin, both made the remark a possible renter should be informed of the situations "Cabin In the woods."
One well known vacation agency comments, I thought it would support you, fine a reason for your overview, asked if I would be reimbursed???? Many pcabins in VT, NH, ME rented this is the worse..
Across the street from the cabin is a field full of shrubs and small trees. This is the West side so nature lovers can catch nightly sunsets sitting on the porch. Because there are treed on the other sides of the cabin an observant eye will catch a glimpse of a mother and her fawn still with spots running througj the trees
There is an abundance of birds.
On the porch a bag of corn and coffer cup will give a chance to feed them. The steep road down the hill intersects with route 4 and there you will find a small coffee shop with local color. Across the road is a gift store If one takes the time to explore. Rangeley itself it is a twenty to thirty minute walk or 5 minutes by car from the cabin.
You can find good restaurants including the Rangeley hotel dining room
There is a movie theater that has concerts as well as films. The area is surrounded with hiking and biking trails.
Recently a lot was purchased next door to erect anothet cabin but the owners are busily putting in trees to restore the former woods between us. Pictures before and after to be supplied.
Cute, Rustic Cabin
Pros: Very close to downtown, Perfect size for 4 people (2 adults, 2 children), wifi available
Cons: It was unseasonably warm and we did bring fans but it was still very stuffy at night for sleeping. A little cluttered - hard to find places to put our bags, etc.
Not suitable for four people. It is a tiny cabin.
Great place to stay
We decided last minute to attend Snowdeo all the hotels and motels were booked. We found this cabin for rent and it was a great decision. The True North cabin is very inviting and comfortable. The loft is so cute and the cabin is decorated with some awesome art work! Jane was very informative with phone numbers for her and the housekeeper. The Wifi was not working during our visit and we had minimal cell service but that was perfect because we were never inside. The driveway is large enough for a truck and snowmobile trailer. We will definatly be staying here again in the future.
What a lovely review. I worked very hard to get the WiFI back up and working again but I was told by many locals that Fairview is very iffy and unreliable. We have had it most of the year and suddenly down. I really apologize. If they return again they can be assured it will work.
I am so pleased with the positive assessment of the art and photo work. It is all the creation of my son and myself.
This is the second great response I have had from renters who came to snowmobile. I had reservations before but now I have none. I wasn't afraid that my yard was large enough for their machines. Thank you for your kind words.
Cozy and Delightful
We were in Rangeley to snowmobile for the weekend and wanted an alternative to a hotel room. Jane's cabin was perfect, well appointed, warm and clean. We were able to back the truck and trailer all the way into the driveway and had plenty of room to park the two sleds near the street for easy access without blocking the sidewalk. Jane's cabin is about 1500 feet off Main Street, a quick zip down the street and we were at the trail behind Moose Alley. Jane was very accessible via text, good response time. Her cabin was clean when we arrived and contact info for the housekeeper was given in case anything needed attention. Her cabin has great pieces of artwork and photographs which makes for a nice decor. The yard area backs up to the treeline and is frequented by many deer, we enjoyed the wildlife viewing over coffee. We spent the majority of our days out riding but I would recommend Jane's cabin highly, we enjoyed our weekend stay.
