About this property

This beautifully classic two story home is located at the end of a private drive in the pristine Wallowa Valley. Great privacy with a view or the stunning Wallowa Mountains, only two miles from Joseph. The town of Joseph is a destination for visitors from all over the planet. Wallowa Lake is only ten minutes from the house. Great food and shopping are available with events happening weekly.
The home has been exquisitely decorated with quality antiques re-purposed in a lovely French Country, Shabby Chic, Industrial style. Memorabilia from the farm's history as one of the largest producers of quality Welsh Show Ponies are combined with limited edition prints, and items of interest from the area.
The house is fully furnished with pots and pans, dishes and silverware, plus picnic supplies.

Relaxing

Great location. Great views. Lots of wildlife to watch while sitting on the porch or in the living room. Very cutely decorated. We had a great time. Owner very responsive and friendly.

Great reunion location

We had a reunion and this house worked great for us. Very cute inside with lots of antiques. Out in the country with great fresh air breezing in the windows. Kathleen and Grady were super friendly. Was a lovely stay!

Beautiful property

My long time girlfriend and I got engaged on this trip and we invited family and friends to stay with us to celebrate. It was a wonder stay and memory for all of us.

About the host

This is the family farm. Paul and Ceciel purchased this farm as a newly married couple. They had three children which they raised here. The farm was quite self-sufficient with a garden, beef and dairy cattle, chickens, and pigs.

Paul was a Welshman whose family had immigrated from Wales to Soar, Illinois and were part of a Welsh colony there. Eventually, family members moved west and settled in Washington and Oregon. Paul and Ceciel both for born and raised in Wallowa County. Ceciel was one of five children who grew up in the small community of Paradise, Oregon which was located near Troy, Oregon.
