Take a walk along the pedestrian only promenade with its single row of laid-back tavernas and friendly family run restaurants. The bay is overlooked by the ruins of Pheraklos Castle, which provide an especially dramatic backdrop when lit up at night. During the day, some tavernas will offer you free use of their sunbeds and parasols if you make good use of their bar facilities!
Also at 4km are the soft golden sands of Agathi Beach, backed by nothing but mountains and sand dunes. The sea is warm, shallow and clear, providing safe swimming for all, and great snorkelling. Sunbeds and parasols are available to rent, and not overcrowded, and there is a choice of 3 licensed marquee style-tavernas serving everything from cold drinks to a 3 course meal at very reasonable prices. Perfect family beach resort!

Local Transport : A hire car is highly recommended for your stay, though not completely essential. Hitch hiking is still a good way to get around the island during the day.
