This south of Kreuzberg is the most tranquil part of Berlin’s most alternative district, famous for its art scene and large Turkish population. Kreuzberg has a fiery independent spirit that makes it a magnet for creative artists and visitors alike.
Go to Orianienstraße or Bergmannstraße and see for yourself. An artistic spirit permeates the café and bar scene around here. In between you’ll discover plenty of bookshops and record stores, as well as Landwehr canal and several parks for relaxing in. A cultural district too, you’ll find the Martin-Gropius-Bau exhibition hall and the Jewish Museum nearby.
