Piazza Bologna may be out of the hustle and bustle of the city’s core, but it has more than a few gems of its own, including Rome’s largest park and the ancient Via Nomentana.
The huge Villa Ada is a great spot for a picnic, a walk around the lake and some relaxation. Want more culture? A visit to the museum at the Villa Tortlina or the old Sant'Agnese Fuori le Mura basilica are well worth a trip.
And if you still fancy going to the centre, then you’re just a short bus or metro ride away.
