This independent cottage, in local stones, is located in the hamlet of Galinat, 3 km from the village of Tamniès and 14 km from Sarlat. You will be close to many renowned historic sites and outdoor activities.
The living room, with open kitchen, overlooks the living room, an old bread oven with adobe and slate roof. Oil central heating and a fireplace with insert provide comfort in all seasons. Children's equipment is available on request. The cottage has 3 outdoor spaces: an enclosed space with garden table, barbecue, and shelter for 2 cars, a space opened by a porch, which overlooks the small road leading to the hamlet (not very busy), and a garden in height on the other side of the road.

A warm welcome in a cosy, comfortable cottage - ideal for our Christmas break.

Our ten day break was very pleasant. We were made to feel very welcome and the presence of Christmas decorations was a really kind gesture. There was plenty of wood for the fire, plenty of information about the small hamlet and surrounding district and the house itself was very well-equipped. We would certainly recommend it as an 'away-from-it-all' holiday setting.

Un gîte plein de charme pour une région formidable

Notre séjour a été une réussite grâce à Jacques et Mady qui nous ont accueilli chaleureusement dans leur gîte très agréable à vivre. Passionnés tous les deux de leur Dordogne, ils nous ont permis de découvrir avec bonheur leur superbe région au riche patrimoine et à la nature généreuse. Amoureux de la nature, des vieilles pierres et du calme, nous nous sommes sentis tout de suite chez nous. Après deux semaines de repos, de visites, de dégustation des bons produits perigordins, c’est avec regret que nous avons dû rentrer. Mais, partir, c’est revenir ! Et nous reviendrons. CherJacques, Chère Mady, un grand merci pour votre gentillesse et votre disponibilité. A bientôt de vois revoir.

Génial et pratique pour une famille !

Très belle maison de charme et très fonctionnelle dans laquelle nous avons passés 2 semaines. Les propriétaires charmants ont été de très bon conseils et se sont montrés très à l'écoute. Leur connaissance de leur région et leur disponibilité ont permis un contact humain riche au sens noble du terme. Un grand merci. Ils ont même eu la délicatesse, en sachant que nous venions avec des enfants de 3 et 5 ans de mettre à disposition pleins de petits jouets, les enfants étaient ravis ! Pleins de petites ballades sont possible à proximité et un bel étang à 8 min de voiture avec plage propre et surveillée ! La possibilité de se garer à Sarlat (très belle ville mais très fréquentée) nous a été très pratique notamment avec les enfants, nous étions à 5 min du centre ville ! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ! Ne changez rien ! Philippe, Laëtitia et les enfants
