Our home is a beautiful mountain-style home (exposed beams, wood floors, all new appliances) on a quiet rural road with commanding views of the Housatonic valley and Mt. Everett. Six miles to Great Barrington in the heart of the Berkshires. The house has five bedrooms, two living rooms, loft area and 3.5 bathrooms. We have a wrap-around deck, screened porch, outdoor fire pit and charcoal grill. The home sits on 5 lush acres up a long private drive. Magical!

Why Steve Bileca chose Sheffield
We fell in love with the Berkshires for its natural beauty, cultural riches and lifestyle. Sheffield is a wonderful community in the heart of a very special region in the Northeast.
What makes this House unique
The endless views of Mount Everett and the surrounding landscape; the proximity to cultural venues such as Tanglewood; the recreational opportunities at the nearby lakes and parks, the hiking and biking.

Great family stay, owners were excellent and easy to communicate with.
Property was a perfect setup for our big family gathering. Beautiful scenery abounds, and the house is a great setup for a big group. We will be back!
the home is beautiful, super clean, and the views are gorgous
This home was booked for 15 adults attending a weekend retreat. The weather was misty, which made for more indoor time than expected, yet the enormous windows made us feel like we were outdoors. The natural light and fall colors on the Berkshire Hills set a calming and relaxing back drop. Simply beautiful (picture doesn’t do this home justice). Plenty of gathering spaces for intimate conversations as well as the large group areas with beautiful sunsets. The bathrooms were well designed, modern and spacious. And this newer home was immaculate! The radiant heat floors were heaven on the fall days. Steve was responsive to questions and requests. It was a fabulous stay and would book again!
Minor Critiques: the kitchen counters are a bit higher than standard and our 5'2" chef made note of this. The open concept dinning/kitchen/living room was a bit loud during our meals, but have found this is the case with all open concept floor plans. In bedroom 4 & 5, the 3rd bed was a trundle for one and a mattress on the floor for the other.
Again, it was a wonderful stay and would book again!
Beautiful place in the Berkshires!
Three families stayed at Steve and Angela's beautiful Berkshire home for a nearby wedding. The house is gorgeous, so clean and comfortable, and it has everything we needed. The huge kitchen table was our main gathering area (along with the screened-in porch before it got too cool). Can't say enough about how great our stay was and how responsive Steve was to any questions we had. Thank you so very much for a great weekend!
Our 10 member family spent two very comfortable days in this very special house. We greatly enjoyed our time there and would love to rent this home again. But, in the future, we don't expect to need a house of this size. Clearly, it was our best rental.
Beautiful stay in a quaint area
So thankful for the hospitality of Steve! The Sheffield home is a beautiful space, very accommodating for my group of 11 to stay for a few nights. The view of the Berkshires is breathtaking and the grounds of the home were wonderful. Would definitely recommend this house and looking forward to bringing my group back in the future!
Everything about this house is magic. From the beautifully-furnished interiors to the wraparound deck to the view from the ginormous picture window in the living room. Stayed here with extended family for three days in early July, and it was loved by kids and adults alike. Steve was the perfect host (even by email!) and the house was clean and well-prepped for our arrival. The HVAC system is a little tricky to figure out (esp as there was a 90+ day during our stay) but Steve talked me through it and we wound up being fine. The ping-pong table proved a total WIN for the kids, who could not stop playing and having tournaments downstairs. In fact, the kids (and one brave adult) turned the downstairs bedroom with bunk beds into a "clubhouse" where they would lounge and talk baseball into *too* late into the night. But the real find here is (IMHO) the long farm-style kitchen table, which seated all 12 of us comfortably. It's the kind of touch that makes a house like this ideal find for any large family/group of friends seeking a stay in the Berkshires. Recommended outdoor activity for 8 and up: Catamount Aerial Adventure Park. Recommended restaurant in GB: Prairie Whale. Recommended hike (hopefully NOT after a storm): Bartholomew's Cobble. Thanks again, Steve!
Thanks very much! It was a pleasure to host you and your group. We are so glad you enjoyed our home and your stay in the Berkshires. You are welcome bavk anytime!!
