3 Bedroom Chalet With Great Open-plan Living Area
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
A lovely chalet and easy to find.
The property was ideal for us as we have two children under 10. The shuttle bus is handy but is only once per hour and doesn’t actually go into Plagne 1800. It was more convenient to hire our skies and book our lessons in Plagne Centre. The Oxygene ski school and shop in Plagne Centre also runs a shuttle service that can be booked in advance to fit in with lesson times and can take the whole family too. Overall, I would recommend this chalet and Suzanne was very easy to deal with and helpful.
Wonderful Chalet - nicely located
We had a wonderful week in Chalet Rossa. It is well equipped and has a very nice interior. All wood, walls, ceiling, floor - gives a very comfortable feeling. The open living room is really spacious. The balcony provides great views. We were a party of 6 and so nobody had to sleep in that area. Although not really ski-in/ski out, we did it that way (start skiing right at the bus stop; 300m walk from the piste to the house after skiing). We did not use the car for the whole week. Just did our shopping in Plagne Aime after skiing and using our backpacks.
The owner is very easy to deal with and everything is arranged in a very professional way. The internet access is the only weak point - quite slow.
A comfortable chalet, not ski in ski out but adequately connected to Plagne Centre.
The chalet has a spacious living area and is well equipped. It is very cosy and clean. To get baguettes etc in the morning we walked up the forest path to Plagne 1800 which is an invigorating 15 mins walk!
We usually chose to use the free navette bus which runs hourly to get to and from the slopes in Plagne Centre but also used the path to ski down to the piste at La Roche (only suitable for more experienced skiers).
Great Chalet. Very comfortable and well equipped. Owners good to deal with.
One week ski-ing at half-term. 4 adults 3 teenagers. The chalet is great. Comfortable. Well furnished. Well equipped. Warm, good hot water etc..Wi-fi was a little on the weak side which is an issue these days. The location is a quiet, away from Plagne 1800 (10 min walk) but that was ok for us. 100m walk and then a little cross country ski to get on the piste in morning. Able to ski the path into Crete Cote from Plagne 1800 in the afternoon so again a little 100m walk back to chalet. Ski area is very good. We especially enjoyed the runs in the Champagny area which is close.
Clean, well decorated chalet but a little isolated without your own transport.
Newly built chalet. Well decorated and equipped. Plenty of room for 6-7 (3 bedrooms) but probably a bit tight for 9. Would give 5 stars but for relative isolation. We had poor snow so no ski in/out. Only 1 bus per hour to get to slopes but bus stop very close and just needed some planning. Walk to shop/ boulangerie about 20 mins each way. Otherwise great chalet and la plagne compares very well the 3 Valleys or Tignes.
A car is not needed in the winter but recommended in the Summer. Chalet Rossa is located on the outskirts of La Plagne 1800, the ski Chalet is one of a number of Demi-chalets which make up Crete Cote Village. The small scale development is just above the Olympic Bobsleigh Run, and is linked to the other La Plagne Villages by the free shuttle bus service which operates during the ski season.
La Plagne, in the heart of the Tarentaise Valley, is comprised of 10 small villages. The ski lifts connect the villages to one another and offer 225km of piste on the La Plagne lift pass. The Les Arcs resorts can be accessed by the Vanoise express cable car. This huge area of 425km of pistes is known as the Paradiski area.
