For those colder winter days, there's a log burning stove, and underfloor heating to keep you nice and warm.
Bude town centre is unique and still has many local shops. If you are a foodie, there are plenty of excellent restaurants and bars, within walking distance. Take a stroll along the canal or choose one of the four main beaches. The South West Coastal Path is just a mile away, and there are endless water sports to try out. Visit the picturesque villages of Port Isaac (famous for Doc Martin) or try Padstow for it seafood. We offer home cooked food to order on the day of your arrival, and if it's a special occasion, we can cater for all your needs.
Poughill is a small village on the outskirts of Bude, with a local pub serving real ales and home cooked food. There are plenty of public foot paths for walkers, and horse riding oppportunities at the bottom of a private lane next to the property. Poughill has a few thatched properties and one building mentioned in the doomsday book, with a local church dating back to 14th century.
A car is recommended to go further a field and explore, but not needed as the town is just a 10-15 minute walk away, the bus stop is just around the corner. The service operates on the hour every hour into Bude, and surrounding areas. The nearest beach is Northcott Mouth which is a 20 minute walk. Summerleaze and Crooklets beach are 5 minutes by car.
