Newly refurbished two bedroom cottage, in small village 20 minutes drive from the capital St John's.

The cottage

Seaward cottage is a well-equipped cottage situated on the edge of a sleepy village.

There are two double bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen and an open plan living/dining room. There is a private garden and breezy veranda, perfect to relax and enjoy your stay.

Whether for a family, or individuals sharing, it is ideal for anyone wishing to enjoy the island in a home from home setting.


The kitchen is well equipped to meet all catering needs. There is a free standing cooker and oven, microwave, a family-sized fridge freezer, and a washing machine.

Things to do and see

The cottage is located within 15 minutes drive of several beautiful beaches. To the east there is Long Bay and Devil's Bridge. To the north there are several beaches, including Pigeon Point and Galleon's Bay, Shirley Heights, and historic English Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard.

Quiet rural living.

Generally well equipped and located in a peaceful rural area. We enjoyed the roosters and chickens, donkey on a neighboring property and fruit growing in the back garden. Novella Sheppard was an excellent hostess and very responsive to questions or concerns. Only negative was the plumbing problems in the main bathroom, fortunately there is a second bathroom, but still requires attention. Renting a car is essential and easy access to St John's and several beautiful beaches.
