It must be mentioned that around the back of the villa is a dual carriageway. It is high up so the villa can't been seen from the road, and the traffic is quiet all year round as the tolls are quite high, so the noise is no bother. All that can be heard are the birds chirping and the bees buzzing.
Down the road is a local tavern that does lovely food. The villa is about 3km away from Tavira town centre where there is plenty to see and do. The historical town has a river flowing down the middle and gardens on both sides, a castle with fantastic views, a new shopping centre and, of course, the Tavira Island, voted by Lonely Planet as one of the best beaches in Europe, with miles of powdery sand and crystal clear water.
