Seahaven is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms house sleeping 6/8. The property sleeps, 6/8 people. There are 3 beautifully designed bedrooms and the optional use of two 3ft sofa beds in the lounge for an additional 2 people (£25 per night for each guest ) Seahaven is situated in the picturesque village of Rottingdean enjoying direct sea views, solid wood flooring, off road parking, front and rear garden. The ground floor accommodation is arranged as south aspect lounge and separate dining room with access to the front patio, kitchen with six burner range cooker and a utility room with dishwasher and washing machine. Decorate in neutral colours.

The first floor accommodation is arranged as master bedroom with king size bed benefiting from direct sea views and an en-suite bathroom and a further family bathroom. Second bedroom king size bed and 3rd bedroom has two single 3.6 foot foot beds.

Comfortable family friendly house in a great location.

Went for a long weekend with my husband, two kids, and their grandparents. The property was a great location to walk into Rottingdean and the beach via a grassy path. Outside the house was the bus stop to get to Brighton. Lots to lovely walks in Rottingdean and Rudyard Kipling gardens. Even though it was on a noisy road, the house is very quiet with beautiful views of the water. Comfortable lounge for reading and playing with our kids. Kitchen well stocked to make proper meals. Plenty of room in the house to hang out but also have some privacy. Great choice!

Wonderful Sea Views

Lovely property, centrally located to Brighton and turned out to be a great choice for our trip home to the UK to visit friends, family and generally travelling around. Lots of great pubs in the area and Rottingdean village, the undercliff walk and beach are only a few minutes stroll down the road.

House was spotless, very well equipped and the welcome supply of basic food requirements was very much appreciated after a long flight, along with the smell of fresh flowers in the home. Ruth the property manager who lives next door greeted us upon arrival with the keys and general information and Karen the owner has been very accommodating with any requests.

If you are bringing a car the driveway access is pretty tight and involved a few manoeuvres to turn the car around again at the top of the drive when we went out (you would not want to reverse out into the traffic) but certainly not an issue and there was plenty of room by the garage to park. Lovely garden to enjoy and the sea views from the main living area were fantastic.

Would definitely recommend this property and would certainly stay again in the future so thank you.

Beautiful Sea View

The house is nice although furniture a little dated and the single beds are very small. More cups and plates are needed - we had to wash cups 2 or 3 times a day. Just small details to make an enjoyable stay even nicer. We loved the sea view from the sitting room and a bus stop outside the house was very practical for getting to Brighton.

Owner's Response: I found your feedback quite insightful. The furniture is dated: – I would say about 50% is not just dated, but old. There are 3 items that are over 100 years old. The kitchen table and wine rack in dining room – are distress furniture – old furniture that is not tarted up (shabby chic/vintage furniture). I should have made it clearer that the house is furnished with a combination of antique/vintage/retro/shabby chic) Over the years we have endeavoured to source furniture and paintings to give a quirky and individualistic theme. I was quite surprised that you felt that there were not sufficient plates etc: I just need to remind you the crockery that is available during your stay is for 6 guests. 6 cups, 6 cereal bowls/soup bowls, 6 side plates,6 dessert dishes,6 pasta dishes, 6 medium dinner plates +, 6 large dinner plates+, 6 glass tumblers, 6 small wine glasses, 6 large wine glasses. There was a wide selection of salad and serving dishes, including a china teapot and gravy dish. For your stay, the house was prepared for the 6 guests that were booked. If 8 guests were booked there would have been 8 of everything. The property manager who greeted you lives close by was not contacted to express your concerns about the lack of crockery this would have been addressed. From your feedback, I have learnt that I need to provide clearer information about the house and how it is decorated and what is available during stay for 6 or 8 guests.

Wonderful above-average self catering - with a garden and sea views

Clean, spacious, well maintained, beautifully decorated, homely, wonderful bathrooms/baths, fully equipped kitchen, 3 nice sized bedrooms, large lounge, dining room, laundry room. Also has garden with 2 outdoor seating areas. Sea views wonderful.

And we were welcomed with fresh flowers, milk,bread, butter, juice, eggs and a nice bottle of red.

Thank you for the goodies and for sharing your wonderful house.

Lovely, clean and spacious fantastic views, very well equipped

The property was lovely and accommodated 7 adults in our party very well.

The kitchen was adequately equipped.

The views of the sea were lovely although the road outside was very busy.

Parking was good although a bit tight!

Will definitely be staying again.

Seahaven is located on the main coastal road into the centre of Brighton and as result has the benefits of uninterrupted sea views from the house and garden and easy access to buses into Brighton, Seven Sisters and Eastbourne. I guess 4 or more cars parked in the driveway will be tight. On your return visit next February, I hope you and your family have a fantastic stay.

Great weekend by the water!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish! We were welcomed to the house with a home cooked meal and all the little things like bread,tea, and toast we would want. The house was beautiful and very clean. Everyone in our group slept very well and the beds were all comfortable! It was a short walk into the village for groceries and to the beach. When we wanted to go into Brighton the buses ran very frequently and stop right outside the house! We spent a lot of time in the backyard enjoying the weather. We had a lovely time and already want to come back again!

Rottingdean is a small historical coastal town which is 2 miles from Brighton. Rottingdean is a small picturesque town with a historic past. Visitors will also be warmed by the friendliness of the locals. The main attractions in the town are Kipling's Garden, Rottingdean Windmill, St. Margaret's Church with its beautiful stained glass windows and some traditional old inns which were once frequented by smugglers in the area.

Rottingdean is quaint town with extensive history. It has a sophicate and intimate beach culture based around several pubs, outdoor cafes and restaurants. There are several interested walks along narrow country lanes. There is a fabulous under cliff walk from Rottingdean to awarding winning Saltedean beach.


Rottingdean is a gateway to other historical towns such as Kingstion, Lewis, Seaford, Newhaven and Eastbourne is only 20 minutes drive by car.

Rottingdean provides you with the best that East Sussex has to offer, picturesque town and beach and good public transport to the centre of Brighton. Gatwick Airport is only 30 minutes drive and Newhaven 10min.
