Casa Falconara comprises a large living room with fireplace and pool table, a kitchen with wood stove / fireplace and a bathroom with bidet, toilet and shower. The bedrooms are located on the mezzanine level. There is a spacious double bedroom and a small bedroom with two single beds.
In winter the house is heated with the fireplace and air conditioning (hot/cold). Moreover, the house has Wireless Internet.
This house is located on a rural road with various farms and cottages. Casa Falconara has a large garden and a nice covered terrace with comfortable garden furniture.
The garden of Casa Falconara is fenced.
The house distances 2 km from one of the most beautiful beaches of Sicily. Lido di Noto has a beautiful sandy beach and cosy promenade with a coffee bar, gelateria and a few restaurants. Just south of this beach you will find the unspoilt beaches of Eloro and Vendicari. Along the coast there is the 10 km long coastal reserve Vendicari and south of it lies the picturesque fishing village Marzamemi.
We have been with Homeaway since 2006, proposing houses that are able to unfold Sicily's colours and charm at best.
Houses with quality furnishing in unique locations, with incredible views or with a pool, always accurately selected in order to satisfy our main wish: to see you falling in love with Sicily just like we did.
We provide you with transparent information and true pictures. What you see is exactly what you get. We will advise you as much as we can about travel info, transfers and car rental.

The villa was clean and tidy. Corrado (Key holder) looked after us very well. Would recommend to anyone.
We spent a week here ,two adults and two children and this was a perfect home from home for us. Everything you need.
This property is an excellent getaway for a couple or a couple with 1 or 2 children, it is set in a beautiful gated lemon grove which we were offered to help ourselves to on arrival. A very warm greeting from the owner with essential groceries already bought for us for breakfast the next day (we arrived on a Sunday evening so the local supermarkets were closed already when we got there). The owners' father neighbours the property, he was also very hospitable and friendly and we were made to feel that we could ask either of them if there was anything we needed or if we had a problem. Brilliant "Italian style" customer service from them both.
I would suggest it isnt suitable for toddlers or if you have mobility issues due to the style of the stairway/its bannister, and the bathroom being located downstairs. We managed to get English on one of the channels on the television (the film channel) - but other than that, it was Italian TV only.
The property was very clean and equipped as per description, very spacious. The current photos on this site are accurate. The kitchen utensils/pots and pans are basic/old fashioned which was fine for us and it had pretty much everything we needed, including a bbq which was lovely to use in this setting. There are dining tables and chairs at the front AND back of the property so you can follow the sun with al fresco dining!
I would advise that hiring a car is pretty essential in this area of Sicily and certainly for this property. Roads are rural, sometimes without pavements. The property is located absolutely perfectly for many trips to sites/pretty old towns/nature reserves/beaches within an hours drive away. Road signage isn't great so the sat nav (we used our mobiles) was essential. I would recommend learning a few basic phrases of Italian as we didn't come across many Sicilians that spoke English. Also be aware that if you are travelling out of their peak season (Sept - May) that some beach shops and cafes are closed so it is very quiet - excellent if you are looking to be away from high tourist footfall.
A few of our favourite bits:
Oasi Faunistica di Vendicari (coastal nature reserve, its main beach "Calamosche" is lovely too if you want a beach and exploration in one day)
Cava Grande di Cassibile (inland nature reserve - beautiful if you want a gentle hike on a cooler day into a canyon)
Noto (10min drive away - comes alive late afternoon/evening)
This would be a great location in milder weather - the house was immaculately clean and Corrado had lit a fire and bought in groceries for us. Situated in a grove of orange and lemon trees we had fresh juice every morning and felt safe and peaceful. Unsurprisingly the house not built for Winter use really and we found it to be very cold in December. The balcony and stairs wouldn't work for very young children - our five year old was fine but we were a bit nervous. I would certainly recommend for a family of 3-4 for a summer or spring break. Enjoy!
This is a very well kept rented property and very spacious full of Sicilian character.
We found it very comfortable and private also very secure with automatic gates as you enter the property.
Corrado gave us a very warm welcome and information about the location.
If you like fresh fish go to Avola there are two good fish shops down by the beach.
I would recommend this property for it's location and quality.
What a wonderful place to stay. Set within its own lemon grove this is the perfect spot to chill out and relax. We were made to feel most welcome on our arrival at Casa Falconara and it is is equipped with all the essentials for a great holiday. It is very spacious and is perfect for sitting outside either for a meal or chilling with a drink. Beaches are fairly close to hand and at this time of the year are practically deserted. There are lovely restaurants all within a few kilometers of the villa and all were very good. I would recommend the restaurant in Calabernardo which is near at hand. It has a very varied menu and the food , ambiance and staff were excellent. Noto is a beautiful town with many Baroque features, where you can wander aimlessly around the streets admiring the architecture. Casa Falconara is a great place to stay but you would require a car due to its rural setting.
Nearby: The location is ideal for exploring Sicily's southern coast:
- 2 km of one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of Sicily;
- 5 km from Noto, a beautiful town rebuild in baroque architecture after the earthquake of 1693.
- 2 km from the stunning natural reserve of 'Vendicari', great for walks and swimming;
- 12 km from the mosaics covering the floors of the Roman villa Tellaro;
- 15 km from Syracuse

Noto is a magnificent little city famous for its stunning Baroque architecture, lies 5 kilometres away. You can’t miss the traditional afternoon stroll down its main street. Just 1 km north of the house you will find the small seaside resort of Lido di Noto. It has a promenade with cafes, gelaterias and a nice beach.
15 km away you will find one of the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean, Syracuse - famous for its Ancient Greek ruins. The heart of modern Syracuse lies in its historical quarter, situated on the peninsula of Ortigia.
The neighbouring province of Ragusa has cities such as Ragusa Ibla and Modica, which are known for their Baroque architecture and their houses that have been dug out of the region’s limestone rock. Ragusa is a popular destination for beach goers, as it boasts endless golden sandy beaches.
