The newly renovated self contained Garden flat is a stylish and comfortable accommodation for 4 guests. We're a 10-15 minute walk from Canterbury’s city centre and the University of Kent. The flat is the basement of our 1902 Victorian home, it has a separate entrance, a cosy wood burning stove, and is overlooking our large garden. Enjoy a home from home whether you're visiting Canterbury on business, for its historic attractions, great shopping and restaurants, or simply to enjoy a romantic break.
The master bedroom has a welcoming kingsize bed with Egyptian cotton bed sheets, luxurious mattress topper and ample fitted wardrobes for storage. The second bedroom is flexible and has a pull out guest bed which could be twin beds (one is a small single) or a Kingsize on request. Families with children of any age are welcome and we have a travel cot and highchair if needed for infants.
You can relax by the wood-burner in colder months and enjoy our large garden in the summer. Feel free to borrow any of our books, dvd's, X-box games and board games. Netflix and wifi internet are also provided.
There is a hairdryer in both bedrooms, shampoo, conditioner and shower-gel and fresh towels are provided. There is a utility cupboard with a washing machine (and washing detergent). There is also an iron and ironing board available.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a Bosch double oven and dishwasher, microwave, and a fridge. We provide you with some basics to get you started; tea, coffee, sugar, milk, porridge, granola, olive oil.
Canterbury West Railway Station is only 10 minutes on foot which opens up a lot of day trips. Why not try Margate (30 mins by train) for sandy beaches, vintage shopping, Dreamland (a great amusement park) or the Turner Contemporary art gallery housing works from JMW Turner and Tracey Emin.
Whitstable (15 mins by car) is a beautiful beach and harbour town. The seaside town has traditional charms, a strong arts culture and you can enjoy Oysters from the fresh fish market at the harbour.
