Bridlington, Flamborough, Bempton, Filey, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby lie up the coast to the North.
Nice chilling break away from all the bustle. Lucky with weather. Dogs loved the walks.
Small, but perfect for two (+ dog), the cottage is well equipped and enjoys a great location. Description was spot on, and the property was lovely and clean, with some thoughtful welcoming items. The weather could have been kinder, but we would love to return and would happily recommend the property to others. ( have already done so)
The cottage is very clean, cosy and well equipped. There are lots of thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, milk and cake when you arrive. It's a short stroll to the beach and the transpennine trail starts right behind the pretty garden . A short walk in to the town and there's a good choice of places to eat or buy groceries. Highly recommended for walkers/dogs.
The property is well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, warm and welcoming with a lovely greeting from the owner, Babette. Tea bags, coffee, milk and cake in the kitchen on arrival - after your journey this is excellent. The location is ideal for walking into town, leisure centre and local pub - good Black Sheep available! We will be back again and again.
The cottage is comfortable, quiet and ideal for a relaxing break from a busy life. It is in an excellent location, close to the beach and to the town centre. The cottage was clean and generally well-maintained - there was a piece of paper in the kitchen to note down any niggles. The bed was quite soft which would probably suit some people more than others. The owner is efficient in dealing with emails before arrival and provides a cake and some milk for guests on arrival. There are some nice cafes in Hornsea itself - we enjoyed lunches at the Old Cottage and at Cafe Chocolat - and we enjoyed our Chinese meal at the Chinese Lantern. The Hornsea Freeport outlet centre is walkable from the cottage and is substantial enough given that Hornsea's population is less than 10,000. We found some good bargains going arounfd the shops and had an excellent lunch at William's Farm Kitchen. So, yes, we would indeed recommend the cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing break.
This was our first visit to hornsea fabulous stay accommodation very clean well positioned comfortable and had every thing we needed we were very sad to leave We will be back Thank you Babette
Very clean and well furnished holiday let. Two minutes walk to the beach, five minutes to the high street and a great walk along the route of the old railway line to the rear. Small enclosed garden superb for our two little schnauzers. Would definitely recommend, a limitless old fashioned but certainly met our needs. We got carrot cake by the way. Thank you Babette.
Station Mews is situated close to the promenade, beach and town centre which are a short level stroll away.
