VRBO Bear stayed here - 08/01/2008 - "on site review: This charming Victorian flat is a must for truly getting the effect of living in the heart of San Francisco. It has all the modern conveniences of home with the authenticity of the Victorian era. Dramatic high ceilings with detailed crown molding and lovely sculptured light fixtures were found in almost every room. The hardwood floors throughout the flat are extremely beautiful as is the remodeled kitchen and marble bathrooms.
We were impressed by the layout of the flat with two bedrooms in the front and two in the back with a long hallway adjoining. It is extremely spacious and perfect for two families. There is a beautiful formal dining room and comfy living room with plenty of space to relax after a day touring the city! Speaking of relaxing, the beds were heavenly! We spent one evening strolling the neighborhood, picking up a few things at a local market and dining in. It was an experience in itself to soak up the ambiance of this historical place.
We have to say that the bear fell in love and left his heart in San Francisco! "

Even better property than expected! The pictures do not do this rental justice. Easily accessible, all around great customer service. We had all the information we needed before arriving, which made our stay amazing from the start.
A fantastic stay for 1wk for our family of 7 adults from Australia. We had plenty of room for us to all stretch out & the big kitchen was great for cooking breakfast before heading out for the day.Having 2 full bathrooms was a plus with nobody missing out on showers, plenty of hot water for all. Perfect location with public transport & grocery shopping only 5-10 min walk. Very safe neighbourhood which we loved walking around. We were on the level above the French restaurant & very little noise was heard. We loved the furnishings & the beds were super comfy. Well stocked on towels etc 10/10 everything was perfect.
This home provided the classic San Francisco experience and then some. The house: charming, homey, high quality beds, bedding, towels, with two newly renovated elegant bathrooms and a new fully stocked kitchen. It is spacious, easily accommodated our 7 adults and one 12 yo. The neighborhood: charming, bustling, with easy access to transportation, walking distance to Safeway and Whole Foods. We did not find the noise form the restaurant downstairs or the street disruptive. Other reviewers commented on the tight entry to the garage, so let me add that we were able to get our Kia Sorento (small SUV) in and out by folding the side mirrors and being careful. Having garage access in SF is a luxury. We arrived Wed early evening and walked the 2 short blocks to the farmers market, bought ravioli and pesto sauce from one vendor, fresh french bread from another, homemade cheese (16 options) from another, asparagus from another, home made soap as a souvenir. We picked up one stick of butter from the corner market and had a feast. We decided to walk up Market to Franklin to start the Big Bus tour, nice 15-minute walk. Our stay in the house made our family wedding even more special.
Our group of 14 traveled from ND to San Francisco for a ballet competition weekend. This flat was beautiful, had everything we needed and in a great location surrounded by restaurants, shops and easy to access transportation (both public and Uber). We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.
Things to note, the garage entrance is small. There is no exaggeration here. The garage itself is a decent size, but stick to a compact car. Street parking on the weekend is not too hard to find. Uber is a wonderful resource though and they come quick!

We love the area and the spaciousness of the flat. It held all of the family members with a large dining room table where could all gather.
We were here for my son's wedding and had the whole family. This home was perfect for us. We loved the location with lots of great restaurants to grab a bite to eat. The home is spacious and very comfortable. The owner was very attentive and quick to respond to our questions. Do not try to park anything larger than a small car in the garage.
Walk to grocery store, restaurants, deli, public transportation and Duboce Park.
