beautiful sunny view but dirty, dirty, dirty
Maurizio flat is large and commands an impressive view. When is sunny, one side of the flat lit up and very bright.
Unfortunately the flat is dirty in all the parts that matters and it isn't really geared to welcome tourists.
The kitchen is very dirty. Utensils are sticky to the touch and we had to wash everything we wanted to use beforehand (plates/cups/cutlery and pans). Every cabinet door had a dirty 'handle' visible even with a nacked eye and when you put on reading glasses the full extent of the filth became scarily even more visible. The fridge was dirty and so was the oven complete with dirty oven trays still showing the shape of previous things cooked on. I refused to prepare meals in there, fortunately we were there only 2 days/3 nights and friends and family invited us out for the main meals.
On the last morning while having a cup of tea, ants were seen wondering on the table.
Bathrooms: the one in my room (north side) had some sort of plastic runners with a black/dark mark and generally looked dirty. Same type of mat by the shower. The shower had marks on the door and given that the bathroom was dark even with lights on, could not be inspected to be sure it was clean and did not inspire using. The sink, when touch to rinse after brushing my teeth was not smooth to the touch and had some bumps as something stuck to it.
The other bathroom - on the sunny side - had a shower mat of the normal (washing machine washable) kind (hurray!). Unfortunately on closer inspection this was full of blond hair on our arrival. Fortunately I found a clean one in a cupboard in the bathroom. However the shower had not been cleaned after the last guests and I had to clean the shower tray before using it as it was full of hair and other bits. i did not dare touching the walls.
Carpets: only the one in the living room that had not been hoovered and full of bits.
The rooms had clean beddings and we were provided with 3 towels of variuos sizes. Yuppiee!
No usuable wardrobe in my bedroom (i could not unlock the doors) when looking for a blanket. One new and clean in the other bedroom.
We are deeply concerned about the negative remarks of our guest about our apartment. We met her personally three times during her stay and she didn't tell us anything about the "dirty", nor she sent photos of the "dirty". We can assuree that anything was clean. We dispose too of a service of cleaning, that can be asked anytime!
Everybody in the past appreciated the cleanness of the apartment.
Anyway our guest forgot the second payment and we had to ask her it, so she paid us in cash the amount of money agreed with Homeaway, of course.
Nevertheless we are astonished, but everyone can check our apartment. Our guest couldn't unlock the doors of one wardrobe, but we assure that the any other guest opened them!.
We were very pleased with our two week visit to Rome and with our very nice apartment in Trastevere, very quite neighbourhood with excellent bus and tram services. The apartment owner met us at the local train station in Trastevere, gave us a guided tour of the sector and pointed out all the local sites which he knows very well. The apartment was big, clean, well furnished with a comfortable bed. The kitchen was practical and already supplied with the basics: milk, bread, butter, coffee, tea, spices and cakes. We highly recommend this apartment.
Merci beaucoup !
Very good apartment
We were very pleased with this great apartment, which was nice and well furnished, with a good kitchen that we used a great deal for our two weeks stay. In the kitchen there was bread, butter and cheese on arrival, in addition to spices and other accessories. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood ½ hour walk from the center and with good bus connections.
The hosts were very helpful. They booked a taxi for us to and from the airport, and showed us on arrival around the area and informed us about shopping, restaurants and sights. On departure they gave us a DVD that shows the old Rome's buildings on the Capitol, Forum and Palatine with reproductions of how they originally looked. It was very confidently to have such hosts!

Thank you very much! We try to make easy the stay of our guests checking any equipment of our big apartment and showing them how to live in Rome without spending too much money.
Estamos deseando volver
Thank you very much!
We try to do our best, because we are in love with Rome (the most beautiful town in the world) and we are happy to help other people to know this marvelous town better.
We like to have a friendly free tour with our guests in order to know them and to glorify our beloved Rome.
