Springwood Apartment is a luxurious one bedroom apartment within the stunning Grade B listed Springwood House. Built in 1870, this impressive Victorian villa is only a short walk from the city centre.

Set amidst stunning, mature gardens which offer an idyllic setting and complete privacy, you will be spoiled by its convenient yet quiet location. This apartment is quite unique and offers genuine charm and character; the ample sized dining table can comfortably sit 8 people giving you the benefit of entertaining in this magnificent room and the Poggenpohl designer kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances needed to ensure your stay is a comfortable one. The generous double bedroom is a beautiful, bright room and is set off by the front facing bay window and also a luxury en suite bathroom. This apartment also has a separate large bathroom.

A stay here will provide you with luxurious yet affordable accommodation and is an ideal base to explore Stirling City Centre and beyond.

Stirling is situated at the centre of Scotland and it has direct travel links to many of the major cities in Scotland – including Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. There are many attractions in the local area, including, an historic castle which was believed to be the “key to Scotland” in medieval days, many nature walks and hill walking opportunities, numerous fine dining and entertainment establishments and the World’s only boat wheel – the Falkirk Wheel.

There are also many attractions for children all over the local area as well as shops, bakeries and sports opportunities galore as well as a fantastic safari park. There is also a microbrewery, golf course and fishing area should the adults wish to relax too!

Lovely comfortable flat

Good situation in Stirling, 15 minutes from town on foot. The flat is well furnished, and the kitchen has all you need. Quiet residential area, supermarkets only a few miles away by car.

A Great Place to Stay in Stirling

We stayed at Stirling Self Catering’s Springwood Apartment for five days in June, 2018. It was excellent value for the money paid.

This was a magical time for us….truly a home away from home! The apartment is part of a larger building nestled on a beautiful estate; it is filled with furniture and ornamentation of a very grand scale from another time, but at the same time is very spacious, with a modern kitchen, washing and drying machines etc.

We were not disappointed with the rainy days in Stirling as we enjoyed spending time in the lounge in this wonderful home. This is a gem and has left a very treasured memory of our stay in Stirling.

We are recommending this home to any friends or family who will be visiting Scotland.

Hidden Gem

Springwood House is a jewel just ten minutes walk from downtown Stirling. It has been very well maintained and appointed, well stocked with everything you could possible need. I stayed for three weeks and it was hard to leave. I cooked for myself and every time I needed some item of cookware, I'd just explore the kitchen and voila! There it was. If you've read the description or looked at the video on Stirling Self-Catering, you'll find it to be exactly as described. Well, maybe a bit more beautiful!

It is in a lovely location - quiet and peaceful. The grounds are splendid. There is a grocery store a 10-minute walk in the other direction from downtown. I had great weather, and so I spent as much time outside lounging in a comfy chair as I did inside spreading out in luxury.

Stirling Self-Catering was fabulous to work with - very responsive. As was the owner who lives nearby. A few times I contacted him with a question or a request. He responded within an hour, and came over to the house when it was required.

This is, indeed, a hidden gem in Stirling!

Lovely apartment

We very much enjoyed our stay at Springwood Apartment. It was very comfortable and well equipped and we appreciated having plenty of space to move around. It was very quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels from the windows overlooking the garden. I must say that the mattress was one of the best we have slept on and we enjoyed a good night's sleep every night! We highly recommend this accommodation.

  • This price is fully inclusive of all heating, electricity,towels, linen and a small welcome pack on arrival.



    At end of your stay, the refundable breakages/damage deposit is refunded onto the card used to make the balance payment. Please ensure that this card is valid beyond your departure date to enable this refund. Failure to use a card valid beyond departure date will incur bank charges to process the refund to International bank accounts.



    Please note that if your booking is placed less than 6 weeks before arrival date full payment plus the relevant amount of refundable breakages/damage deposit must be made on booking.



    BY BOOKING AND MAKING PAYMENT YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT/CANCELLATION :



    Booking fee, deposit, refundable breakages/damage deposit and balance payment



    1. A 50% non refundable deposit has to be made by you on booking. This is to secure your booking and represents a booking that will be fully confirmed on receipt of the remainder of the rental fee . 2.5% of the total rental amount is due in a booking fee. This will be taken with the deposit payment.

    2. Confirmation of the booking will normally be made to you within 48 hours of receipt of the payment.

    3. Full payment plus the relevant amount of refundable breakages/damage deposit is required 6 weeks prior to the rental period. If you have ticked the repeat payment option to allow us to take the balance payment from the card used on booking, this payment will automatically be taken 6 weeks before arrival date. E mail confirmation of the payment will be sent out.

    4. If a booking is made less than 6 weeks prior to the rental period, full payment plus the relevant amount of refundable breakages/damage deposit is required to secure the booking.

    5. A refundable breakages/damages deposit has to be paid with the balance payment 6 weeks before arrival date. This is to cover any breakages or damage whilst staying in the apartment. It will be returned after the rental period following a complete and satisfactory check of the inventory and property.This can take up to 7 days to show in your account.

    6. Full details of how to get to the house and where the key can be collected will be sent to the person making the booking after full payment has been received and no sooner than 6 weeks before the date of entry.

    7. The owners reserve the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received by the due date.



    Changes to the booking dates



    1. Any change can be made to the booking (subject to availability) before 6 weeks with no charges. However changes may be subject to necessary changes in rental period charges

    2. Any changes to bookings made with less than 6 weeks to booking are made at the owner's discretion and subject to necessary changes in rental period charges.

    3. All changes made with less than 6 weeks to the rental period are subject to a standard charge of £50 or currency equivalent.



    Cancellation Charges



    The client may cancel the booking at any time after it has been confirmed.

    Cancellation must be made in writing.

    Cancellation charges are as follows

    Less than 6 weeks – loss of total rental value, however refundable breakages/damage deposit will be returned.

    More than 6 weeks - loss of 50% non refundable deposit made on booking.



    Please Note: if the owners are able to re-book the cancelled dates, all rental monies paid will be refunded minus a 20% administration fee for each portion of nights rebooked, irrespective of when the booking is cancelled.
