Kerguelen is a traditional Breton stone farmhouse set in its own large, sheltered private garden.
The sea and beautiful clean sandy beaches are just a short walk, as is the market village of Plougasnou where you will find all you will need for your self-catering holiday.
The ground floor comprises two rooms; a large salon with wood-burning stove set in an imposing fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen/dinning room (dishwasher (Bosch), electric kettle, microwave, large table with benches seating for 14). There is also a cloak area and utility room, with WC, and washing machine.
Climbing the traditional turning staircase the first floor has three bedrooms; one double, one double+single and a bunk-room sleeping four. All with views onto the large garden, and if you crane your neck out to the left a glimpse of the sea. There is also a shower/toilet.
The top floor has one double bedroom and another with 3 singles. There is also a bathroom with bath and hand-basin, and a separate room with wc
Beaches: Kerguelen is an ideal location for a beach holiday as there are many superb sandy beaches all with a short drive, enough to find a new one for each day of your visit, if you are so inclined. Some with large and panoramic views, others in small rocky coves. Some with convenient near-by car parking others hidden and requiring a walk. All offer safe crystal clean waters for bathing, if a little cold for some. Primel beach is the nearest beach to Kerguelen (1km distance) and has a safety patrol in summer.
Other beaches worth a visit; Plougasnou beach, Vilin Izella beach, set in a nature reserve with nearby water mill, Port Blanc, Le Guerzit, St Samson and Terénez with it's boats and Cafés.
