Welcoming, Friendly, Charming, Quiet.
Lovely little self contained 1 bed getaway. Everything you need for a self catering break. A bit remote, but that’s not always a bad thing IMO. Would definitely stay there again.
A delightful, comfortable and cosy cottage. Well equipped. Wonderfully kind proprietors who provided a welcoming breakfast and delicious scones.
A peaceful setting and a fantastic base to explore beautiful West Dorset.
We would definitely stay here again.
A stunning location and the most beautiful cottage with friendly , helpful owners
We were looking for a last minute short break and happened upon this gem. A wonderful home away from home with all we could have needed or wanted. Sarah provided a gorgeous cream tea on arrival and a lovely selection of breakfast goods.
The cottage was immaculately clean and so comfortable.
We loved being able to sit outside and listen to the birds whilst watching the bees. The views just seem to stretch out in front of you and being able to sit in bed with a cup of tea and watch the clouds roll across the sky was stunning - we even had a buzzard come and sit on the telegraph pole in front of us.
If you are looking for a comfortable, well proportioned cottage for a peaceful break this is for you.
Thank you - you made us feel very welcome. We will be happy to recommend.
Thank you for your kind review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and were able to appreciate what a very special place we are privileged to live in. Hopefully we shall host you again.
A lovely place to stay
This cottage is in a lovely area of open countryside. It was so nice to arrive to a spotlessly clean cottage with all of the basics supplied for a tasty breakfast (including fresh coffee) and also a delicious homemade cake. The patio area is sheltered and gets the sun, with a hammock seat to relax on. The dog was made welcome too! It's only a 15 minute walk along the lane to the local pub (check opening times) which is full of character and where we enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch and some very tasty tapas as well. Make sure you take a torch if you are likely to walk the lane after dark (and also the hi-viz vest which is supplied for guests to use). Dorset has some stunning scenery, especially along the coast path, and we walked a good few miles. Some of the local footpaths we found little used and poorly marked so you need a good map! All in all a very relaxing (and lovely!) place to stay.
A wonderful and restful place, a lovely welcome and accommodating hosts.
Lovely stay, warm and welcoming and so nice.. a secret haven that I don’t really want to advertise too much. Thank you!
“Lovely” is the only word.
Well, beautiful, cosy, clean, welcoming, delightful, also fit perfectly. This is such a lovely place, roomy well furnished, and such a welcome pack ! The scones were wonderful as were the breakfast items. A comfortable bed and such views ! All in all we had a really nice time, only downside ? Be warned the local Pub is closed on Tuesdays ! Glad we didn’t walk there would have been even more disappointed. Great place to visit this area from. “Lovely” is also the word most used in the visitors book. Thank you Sarah and Rodney.
We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for such a complimentary review!
