About the property

Beautiful Unobstructed Views of Ocean, Diamond Head, Park, Gold Coast, Upgraded

Our condo is a rare 35th floor Diamond Head side condo and has great Gold Coast ocean views from living room, kitchen (one of the top 5% best unobstructed view condos at Waikiki Banyan). Fabulous Diamond Head and Kapiolani Park (greenbelt, Honolulu Zoo, Aquarium) views. Far below is Banyan's sixth floor recreation deck including the swimming pool, tennis court, sunning area, and jacuzzi (resident guests only).

Condo has just been extensively upgraded, new kitchen cabinets, new tile throughout, granite counter top, new furniture, 2 queen beds in bedroom, a pull out queen sofa bed (installed August 26th) entertainment complex with large flat screen TV and DVD player. This is considered a DELUXE condo, however are prices are around 30% below similar upgraded condos.

Condo has a high capacity top quality Friedrich air conditioner.

FREE PARKING in the Waikiki Banyan's garage is included as well as FREE WIFI INTERNET service. We don't charge any "RESORT FEES."

We don't supply beach equipment (too diverse and short lived) however our guests leave us a steady stream of it which is available for use.

Calendar is up to date and now reflects the current actual occupancy in our condo. You can book right away by simply clicking the 'BOOK IT' button on your right & filling out information on the VRBO generated form. The exact price for your stay and breakdown of charges (we don't charge a 'resort' or 'amenity' fee) will appear for you to approve. The GET tax is 4.712% and the TAT tax is 10.25% of the nightly rate.

We have enabled VRBO "Instant Booking" so your booking request is instantly confirmed without further hassles. When final payment is due 75 days prior to your arrival date, VRBO will send you payment request invoice for balance due. Once paid, you will be sent detailed entry instructions including entry punch code so you can enter condo anytime, after 3 pm check in time, wifi codes, and other important information for your stay.

For unforeseen events we recommend you purchase travel insurance such as from www.travelguard.com (reasonable).

Our condo is comfortable, spotless and private. Breakfast on USABLE LANAI (balcony). Full kitchen including pots, pans, cutlery, dishes. FREE WIRELESS INTERNET (WIFI). All linens/towels provided. Beach towels. Laundry room next door. Phone with free local calls. Alarm clock/radio. New large high definition LCD flat screen TV, Banyan cable service.

Our Waikiki Banyan condo is owner occupied part of the year, and we welcome vacationers who will take good care of it. Onsite cleaning and maintenance office in Suite 501 Tower 1 at the Waikiki Banyan (business hours). After hours emergency line (lock outs etc..).

The Waikiki Banyan is a fun resort ONE BLOCK from the warm sands and blue water of the world's most famous beach. Soak up the sun, stroll on ocean board walk, swim in warm ocean, snorkel across from the Zoo in fish preserve (some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii), surf, or just relax on the Waikiki Banyan's comfortable lounge chairs on recreation deck near pool or in shade. Nearby churches. The huge recreation deck (for Banyan guests only, four per condo) on the sixth floor of the Waikiki Banyan offers a large freshwater pool, jet spa, sauna, gas barbecues, children's playground and take out/snack bar.

The Waikiki Banyan is unique in that it offers units with kitchens in upscale Waikiki in a resort environment at affordable prices. Laundry room on every floor. NO PETS AND ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING PLEASE.

Making it unique has unobstructed ocean, Diamond Head, and Kapiolani Park views at the west end of Tower I, for which hotels would charge a small fortune per night and is furnished with new furniture. Furthermore there is a second door from the living room into the bathroom, allowing privacy if someone is sleeping in living room (queen sofa bed in the living room). In the bedroom there are two queen comfortable beds. We can supply a high quality electric inflatable twin or queen bed upon request.

Bus stop one block away from Waikiki Banyan on Kuhio Avenue. Ala Moana shopping center is 10 minutes away by bus. You don't need to rent a car. Take Reliable or Speedi shuttle from airport to Waikiki Banyan ($18 & $25 round trip). Mini mart & snack bar in building. Walk to the Food Pantry supermarket at 2370 Kuhio Avenue. Walk to Parkshore Starbucks across from beach. Longer walk to new Safeway at 888 Kapahulu Avenue.

If you want a restful vacation or are into water sports, you want a comfortable, fully equipped, luxurious condo with a full sized kitchen, AND you want ocean, Diamond Head unparalleled views, this condo is ideal for you. Aloha.

Please note that periodically the Waikiki Banyan Homeowner's Association closes down one of the common areas for repair (pool, tennis court, an elevator) or may do plumbing work. This is outside of our control and we are not responsible for these sporadic events.

We bought this property because we looked at nearly thirty apartment complexes in Waikiki and picked the Waikiki Banyan because of its great location two blocks from Kapiolani Park at the foot of Diamond Head, one block to the best beaches in the world & great snorkeling in a nearby corral reef teaming with sea life (a fish preserve). Banyan is a "fun" lively building with great resort amenities including a pool, two jacuzzis, a tennis court. I chose this particular unit because of its incredible high floor unparalleled views, almost like a work of art.

What makes this condo unique

The Waikiki Banyan has a large multistory parking structure connected to its two towers (37 & 38 stories). Parking goes for a premium in Waikiki & most guests have to pay extra for it. We offer free parking, free wifi internet, and a condo just upgraded with a new kitchen, new porcelain tile throughout, attractive decor, new cabinets, bathroom mirror, overhead light etc... The views of this condo cannot be duplicated.

Comfortable and very clean property,however there needs to be a few updates.Dinning chairs not very safe to sit in (wobbly backs).Pillows need to all be renewed,stained and smelly and mattress cover on bed by window stained,needs to be changed.The day we left the pipe under the sink started leaking,my husband tightened it so stopped leaking and had to use dirty towels to soak up water,no time to call maintenance before we left but did leave a note for Michael.Prime location to everything.We stayed at this Hotel over 30 years ago,although very old property,has been kept up well from what we could see.

Owner's Response: Hi, thanks for feedback. We will immediately address all the issues you raised. We ordered two weeks ago new blankets, comforters, top sheets, bed skirts, pillows for all our units for a completely new, modern look. In the meantime we have asked our cleaners & maintenance firm, Koko Resorts, to replace pillows, clean the mattress cover by window (which is practically new ... was replaced March 1st), & examine chairs. The connection under the kitchen sink below the garbage disposal was tightened and I'm very glad you let us know. Don't want water leaks in a high rise. Much appreciated. Aloha, Michael

Amazing view, well located

Mr. Job was very informative and helpful! Our arrival went smoothly, parking in the farage was easy. The apartment was spacious, beds comfortable. A/C unit was too loud to leave on at night...but other than that, this place has all the conveniences. A bit run down overall but everything was tidy. Very convenient to have washer and dryer access down the hall too! I would definitely stay here again!!

You are one block to the beach. The Waikiki Banyan has an Activity Desk where you can book all types of tours including snorkeling tours, cruise dining, Polynesian luaus,helicopter tours. I enjoy walking to Kapiolani Park two blocks away to the foot of Diamond Head or along the ocean boardwalk to the lighthouse at foot of Diamond Head. Daily snorkeling in the fish preserve across the street from the Honolulu Zoo two blocks away. See tropical fish, puffer fish, colorful eels, octopus, small barracuda, ono, tuna etc...
