lovely cottage and owner

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week in this lovely cottage! It was so cute, high standard and clean that we had the wish to live longer there than this short time! It was exactly like on the fotos.

In a few minutes we were at the beach. Every evening we found a parkingplace in the near and we could buy our food in the co-op nearby.

The contact to the owner was warm and she helped us with any problems. We are looking forward to come back to this pretty Island and this cottage! Thank you, Karin!

Perfect in everyway.

  • 5 of 5

The house is splendid. The welcome we received was lovely. Everything was perfectly appointed and we felt so much at home. The house has a great vibe and my children both summed up it up by saying the house is 'somewhere they could easily live'. Highly recommended and we are booked in again real soon. Thank You

Rosa cottage was so comfortable it was like being home Loads of character. Clean and tidy and so much room. parking was an issue most nights but always found a space nearby . Also neighbours woke us early most mornings getting children up and ready for school Apart from that the cottage was a great base to go exploring and travelling around.Enjoyed nice bottle of wine in the evening a lovely gift from the owner, very much appreciated .We will definitely return.

A beautiful home, a beautiful holiday cottage.

  • 5 of 5

Rosa Cottage was just perfect, it looked like a show home from an interior decor magazine but felt like a home to which we all relaxed in. Karin has gone to great lengths to equip the cottage with the essentials plus more. We were so fortunate with the weather so spent our week outside exploring all the interesting sites on Portland and beyond. We could have stayed another week as when we left there were still numerous things to see and do. We would definitely book again in the future. Thanks again.

the cottage was everything I had hoped for,

The cottage had all we wanted, it was well furnished, and ideally situated for our needs. It was warm, welcoming, with an excellent supply of hot water. The information folder was brilliant, it answered any question you could ask,and the owner was as helpful as anyone could wish for, I would certainly return.

Brilliant last minute booking

  • 5 of 5

We had our original cottage cancelled on the Thursday morning. Managed to book Rosa Cottage for 3 nights that day and arrived Thursday evening.

We are a family with an 8 week old daughter. Great place, 3 bedrooms, lovely big living room and dinning room. Travel cot provided.

5 minutes to the beach, pub and shops. We had oddly great weather in October and ended up walking to the Boat That Rocks for a Coffee and spending time just chilling in th elocal area.

We were limited with places to eat out due to the little one so had fish and chips from the 'Codfather', Indian from Balti Village and cooked fajitas in the little kitchen (everything you'd need)

Blue Fish Cafe is well worth a visit for breakfast (£6, not cheap) but vry good quality food. Quiddles cafe on the beach also good for lunch.

For a pint with a good view, pop into the The Cove, beachside pub - Good ales on tap.

Overall a great stay and great value too - Many thanks Karin

Situated on the Jurassic Coast, Portland is home to England's National Sailing Academy, the venue for the sailing events at the 2012 Olympics.

It boasts some of the best diving waters in Northern Europe, whilst the whole of this tiny island offers a haven for walkers, climbers, geologists and birdwatchers, together with a good choice of shops, pubs and eateries.

Chesil Beach just a few minutes walk away connects the island to the main land, whilst Weymouth, with its golden sandy beaches and colourful harbour is just 4 miles away. A perfect location for a varied holiday.

There are many excellent restaurants on the Isle of Portland and also a wide selection of pubs, many who have live bands and music in the evenings. Shops, pubs and restaurants are only a few minutes walk away.

The property is within walking distance of the National sailing Academy and the Olympic Village.
