Loft by architect on two levels, canopy on living room, private garden, fitted kitchen, two toilets, a shower room, a bathroom, 3 bedrooms, 3 double beds, one upstairs, 2 souplex, cozy, original, very bright and quiet in central Paris, 100 meters from the Aligre market, close to the Opera Bastille and the Lyon station. Quarter 'bobo', restaurants, bars, cafes old paris, shops.

Apartment in great location.

This ground-floor apartment is in an excellent location, near to the Gare de Lyon and just a few hundred yards from the charming Pl d'Aligre which is surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants, a couple of supermarkets and a pharmacy. The daily market is a lovely place to wander around and buy the local produce. The apartment block is very quiet, has secure entry, and the immediate area seems to be friendly and safe.

It's a spacious apartment with natural light coming in through opaque glass windows so sadly there are no views. The private and fenced garden, which is a very tranquil place to sit, is visible through several clear glass panels in the front door. It's nicely furnished but perhaps not as well-maintained as it could be.

The quirky layout is interesting but makes access to the bathroom a little difficult if more than one bedroom is being used. Two of the three bedrooms are in the basement, as is the bathroom, which is reached by walking through the ground- level bedroom, down the stairs and through one of the basement bedrooms. The third bedroom, which is in the basement at the other corner of the apartment, has access to a small shower-room on the ground-floor off the lounge area, and this would have been ideal had the shower been in working order. Unfortunately it was not, although the toilet and sink were functioning, so there was no good way to access the working shower without one person disturbing the other. This was a disappointment, especially as the main reason for booking this apartment had been the combination of two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The owner, Marie, was friendly and welcoming, and she showed us around the apartment and gave us information about specific things in the local area.

The location of this apartment is superb but the layout would not suit everyone.

A wonderful home away from home!

The apartment is in the perfect neighborhood...it was close to shops, cafes, the metro. We were 3 woman staying in Paris for the month of August. All the sites that we wanted to see were accessible by the 1 or 8 train...each located a couple of blocks away. We enjoyed getting up each morning and walking down the block to the market to get fresh items for breakfast and dinner. Marie was absolutely wonderful and very helpful to anything that we needed. She became a friend and someone I plan on staying in touch with for my next visit to Paris. I would recommend this apartment for your stay...it's charming with interesting decor, and I loved sitting in my private oasis to enjoy my morning coffee or a night cap! You will feel comfortable and right at home ! Enjoy!

Nice Apartment in a Quaint Neighborhood

The apartment was just as described online. Very quaint place in a nice quiet neighborhood. The layout of the apartment was as described. The owner, Marie, was great. She maintained contact prior to and throughout the rental. She met us on the day we arrived and showed us the layout. She provided towels, dishes, utensils, etc. We were able to cook breakfast and dinners inside the apartment.I would recommend this apartment because of its location to metro, restaurants, market, and stores. There is an open air market that opens 3-4 days a week. It is about 100 meters down the block. Fresh fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. There was also a regular market about 80 meters down the block. The nearest metro stop Gare de Lyon was about 2.5 km. The location was great.

The only issue we had, and one was out of everyone's control, was the weather. We went during the summer. The apartment does not have AC or ceiling fans, so the heat kind of built up inside the apartment during the day. But in the Spring or Fall, I would say that it is probably amazing to sit inside.

Sehr stilvoll, ruhig, nett!

Für 2 Tage durften wir in dieser niedlichen, gemütlichen, stivollen Wohnung sein, von der aus man tolle Paris-Entdeckungstouren unternehmen kann! Die Lage ist toll - nur wenige Meter bis zur coulée verte und zum Markt, aber auch die anderen Dinge kann man prima von sort aus entdecken. Beeindruckt hat uns auch die sehr ruhige Wohnung und natürlich die Herzlichkeit der Vermieterin! Sehr zu empfehlen!
