Suite in the "TOSCA" castle
In memory of the evenings spent in Cafaggio by Giacomo Puccini, a friend of his grandfather Ugo Benci, a completely renovated apartment on the main floor of the castle with family furnishings, a large stone fireplace and a coffered ceiling in the living room overlooking the Italian garden .
Ideal for honeymoon and long stays, thanks to the small separate kitchen. The bedroom overlooks the castle court.
The Castle of Cafaggio, a farmhouse in the heart of Chianti, is located a stone's throw from the village of Impruneta, rich in local craftsmanship and near the area of the ancient brick kilns, renowned all over the world.
We are in the kingdom of wine and oil of the highest quality and the Castle of Cafaggio, surrounded by beautiful olive groves and vineyards has been awarded for its extra virgin olive oil.
The location of the farm is ideal for enjoying the authentic atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside and for cultural visits to the jewels of Italian art. For those who want to take advantage of 'urban' leisures, Florence is only 12 km away and Siena is less than an hour away, and there are many characteristic medieval towns that dot this route.
In the Castle we have created some suites still equipped with original Art Nouveau furniture that transmit the atmosphere and the experience of the Castle. Next to the Castle and the family chapel - where weddings are celebrated - the farmhouse has now been transformed into several apartments furnished by us, Gabriella and Valentina, with passion and attention for the Tuscan style that overlook a large external courtyard where the guests can enjoy the sunset with a good glass of our red.
The gardens, the vegetable gardens, the centuries-old forest and the panoramic swimming pool, where beauty and relaxation are accomplices of the surrounding nature, offer moments of priceless pleasure.
In love with our places, we offer our guests with enthusiasm a state of the art, in the name of a warm hospitality. An experience between nature and culture, tradition and entertainment that you will not forget: from the "home made" breakfast time in the extraordinary Liberty hall of the Castle, to walks in the centuries-old wood once frequented by Giacomo Puccini, to local cooking classes, to tastings of the organic products of the farm in the ancient oil mill, to dinners on request in the castle embattled court and much more.
Who comes to the Castle of Cafaggio is not simply a guest but can contribute to the richness and beauty of this land and the spirit of this very special location.
