Central Edinburgh has so many historical and fascinating places to explore and it can all be done by foot from our property. Infact we advise leaving the car at home as we do not have private parking. New Town Edinburgh is a fabulous base whether visiting for the Edinburgh Festival or any other of the many other events held during the year. Open top bus rides, escorted walks, shopping and so much more can start from our doorstep. Head to nearby Leith to step on board the Royal Yacht Britannia or walk up The Mound into the Old Town along the Royal Mile leading to Edinburgh Castle - in time for the One O’clock gun. Guests are also very close to the many theatres, concert halls (including the Theatre Royal and The Usher Hall) and cinemas Edinburgh has to offer. For those seeking peace and tranquility there are nearby magnificent museums and galleries (including the Scottish and National Portrait Galleries) and the famous Botanic Gardens. Stockbridge with its antique shops, second-hand bookstores, vibrant cafe, bar and bistro atmosphere is a short walk away and it is here you can take a walk along the Water of Leith. We can provide our guests with lots of information on exploring Edinburgh City Centre and beyond and of course the many places to eat whether for lunch or an evening out. About Lynn Lambert

Edinburgh is not only my home town but also where we were married many years ago and we still have many friends and family members living in and around the city. We have two married grown up daughters who are now based in London but they try to visit Edinburgh when they can. Although we live in Norfolk, England we have excellent housekeepers (actually an aunt and uncle) who enjoy looking after our apartment and our guests. We are experienced property renters and owners and our homes are well cared for and maintained to an extremely high standard. So whether you are family, friends or new or returning guests everyone is assured of a warm welcome.

Why Lynn Lambert chose Edinburgh

We came across our apartment some years ago during one of our many visits to Edinburgh. It was for sale in a 'needs modernisation and updating' state and just around the corner from where we had our very first apartment when we were married in 1979. Being able to retrace our footsteps around Edinburgh - a great city that we love - is very special. We set about upgrading it but keeping all the wonderful Georgian details. Sadly, due to other commitments, we don't use it as much as we used to and therefore are very happy to now share it with our guests, family and friends. Its location and facilities are second to none enabling everyone who visits to relax in a gorgeous, huge apartment for the price of a small, bland hotel room.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is so spacious - the entrance hall gives you the feeling of stepping into a grand Georgian country house. We love the period details, the high ceilings and looking out into Georgian Edinburgh from the front room and doorstep. We have been able to modernise and upgrade in a sensitive way. Its location, so close to all that Edinburgh City Centre has to offer, is also a huge plus and there are also so many great restaurants and pubs nearby to suit all budgets.

Perfect stay in Edinburgh

We found everything as promised and would certainly rent here again. The apartment is in a great neighborhood which felt safe and convenient. We were able to walk everywhere. The bedding was comfortable. The kitchen was very complete and the breakfast supplies were appreciated. The communication was excellent as well. Great place!

Great apartment!!

My husband and I have been renting apartments/houses on line for more than 10 years, both in the US and in Europe. By far, this is the best rental yet. It was huge, immaculate, and extremely well equipped. No issues at all. Fabulous location. We walked everywhere. Bed was comfortable, cereal, eggs, bread, milk and OJ in the kitchen. Plenty of storage, beautifully decorated. I'd love to live in this apartment, although a long commute to my job in Massachusetts. Would rent this apartment again in a minute!!

Exceeding Expectations.....

Somehow I thought we were just renting the bedroom shown in this photo, with en Suite bath. We were absolutely blown away when we found out in included a stunning entryway, large living room, state of the art kitchen area complete with large dining and relaxing area. We felt like millionaires, and did not want to leave. In addition, Lynn and Stephen were helpful throughout the entire process. They also left an array of food and snack items, along with a bottle of high quality wine and a decanter of scotch. The neighborhood is quiet, within walking distance to all area attractions, and very close to excellent restaurants right within the neighborhood. My husband have done a great deal of traveling and this may be the nicest place we have ever stayed, and also a good value for what they charge.

Oh WOW

How lucky we were to find this gem of a property. We couldn''t have wished for a more convienient location or comfortable home away from home. Lynn and her husband have thought of everything. We loved our stay in this beautiful Georgian apartment, highly recommend it and would love to stay there again, next time we visit from Australia.

Comfortable and elegant

We had such a lovely stay. The flat is well appointed and the extra touches the owner provides like bread, milk, yogurt, etc really goes the extra mile. It was very cold during our stay but the apartment was nice and cozy. Stockbridge is a cute area of Edinburgh to explore with many delicious restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and pubs nearby. The flat is in a great area to explore the city. Staying in an elegant Georgian flat was like a dream! Thank you again Lynn and Stephen!

First time to the lovely city of Edinburgh and this is the most perfect apartment for two people who desire a quiet, very upscale, local experience. Visitors flock to Edinburgh for its unique heritage and cosmopolitan environment and our much loved one bedroom apartment is the perfect choice for those couples looking for a special central base. Situated in a quiet position, in the very heart of the Edinburgh New Town, it is so close to everything the city has to offer. India Street is within walking distance of Edinburgh’s main entertainment, shopping and cultural facilities and all manner of restaurants and bars. It is one of Edinburgh's most gracious streets, running in a north/south direction down from Heriot Row. A short walk takes you to George Street and its wonderful shopping where you can then head to Princes Street towards The Mound, The Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle also taking in Princes Street Gardens.
