About James Logan
Hi, I'm James and this is my wife Ayako. We have two kids aged 12 and 14. I was born in Kent, grew up in London, worked in Japan for over 20 years and moved back to the UK in 2012. I've sailed a lot over the years but recently do mostly long walks around the UK and around Bridge. We enjoy camping and staying in other people's holiday lets in the UK and France. I used to spend 14 hours a day in a suit but now I'm either digging, planting or painting a wall !
James Logan purchased this House in 2015

Lovely cottage, great stay, everything as described. We'll be definitely coming back at some point.
Wonderful cottage, quiet secluded piecefull
Great place, great host, if in the area again will definitely stay again
Will return to this venue if we ever go back to Canterbury
James was the perfect host - he maintained contact in advance of our arrival day. Unfortunately we arrived a few hours later than we had advised and he still welcomed us with a very cheerful attitude.
The accommodation is well presented and very clean
Perfect short stay!
We spent a peaceful and very comfortable few days in Tulip Cottage. It is well designed and has high quality furnishings, and a beautiful garden.
We used it as a base to explore the local nature reserves at Stodmarsh and Pegwell Bay. It's very close to Canterbury too!
We would love to stay again.
Lovely cottage in great location
The cottage is well designed and well equipped. The walks from the back door are wonderful, with many interesting public footpaths in the local area. James was extremely helpful and the whole stay was a real pleasure. Thank you very much.
We had a fantastic weekend away here. The cottage is really well equipped and very, very comfortable. It's a real home from home and you could easily live here for an extended period of time or like us just for a short break. The cottage is very private with excellent off-road parking and there are good facilities nearby (pubs and a local shop within a short walk).
We chose to visit Canterbury (whose Park and Ride is minutes away) and Chatham Dockyard which is 40 minutes away; the cottage gives you easy access to the major roads to explore Kent.
We used the local pub for evening meals (which was lovely), but it was great to be able to come and go at the cottage as we pleased and know we had somewhere that is lovely and comfortable. The owners have thought of everything to provide you with home comforts (all usual kitchen facilities, plus a coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of crockery, pans etc) - they have even provided a European adaptor for overseas guests !
It's lovely to have such a warm and cosy place to stay, we arrived on a horrible November night (cold and wet) and were immediately made to feel warm and cosy with the underfloor heating. We stayed as a couple, but there is plenty of room for 4 with a large and airy open plan lounge / kitchen / diner which is light and comfortably furnished.
We were so impressed, we got home and booked ourselves another break here :-)
Canterbury Cathedral is just 3.6 miles away.
Dover Castle is 13.5 miles away
Howletts Wild Animal Park is 2.3 miles away
Leeds castle is 25 miles away
Belmont House is 15.8 miles away
And great walks in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty right from the door.
