Our holiday cottage is a self contained cottage attached to the former Whitby Foghorn Station. The cottage has spectacular sea views and direct access to the Cleveland Way footpath. There is private parking and a garden area with seating. The cottage has one bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen/sitting room. All electric, bedding and towels are included in the price. The property is 7 minutes from Whitby by car and about 40 minutes if walking along the Cleveland Way. The cottage has freeview TV, but we do not have wifi as a result of our location.

Awesome....so peaceful and tranquil
Well equipped cottage, very cosy 💜
A stunning location for walkers looking to explore the Cleveland Way.
We had a four night stay at the Foghorn Cottage and really enjoyed the opportunity to walk some of the Cleveland Way and visit Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and Sandsend. The accommodation is small and would be a tad basic for many. We found it comfortable, clean and its location made up for any shortfall. Visitors need to be aware, however, that the mobile phone signal at the cottage is very poor and the owners do not provide a wi-fi signal.

To find this holiday cottage approach from Hawkser and take the first turning right after a large park home sight, onto a very narrow and winding lane for 2 miles , you will see the Old Foghorn Station onto the left. Park forward on the right of the building well down as this is a turning place. This most enjoyable stay was kicked off with a pleasant intro. from the resident owner. Just walk around the building and wait for the dogs to bark from their living room, and the owner will soon appear to show you a
round this very clean, comfortable, well appointed and brightly decorated "cottage"!
It is very peaceful and the bed is very comfortable making for a really great nights sleep. It is situated right on the Cleveland Coastal Path, north for Whitby Abbey and south for Robin Hood's Bay, most enjoyable. There is a gate hidden in the hedge in front of your parked car. The best place to park in Town is on the Marina Long Stay car park opposite the railway station, from where you can catch the NYM steam train? Enjoy!
We were able to do most things we wanted to do during our stay. The location was excellent. It was nice and private. The facilities were sufficient for our needs. We would return
Beautiful little place : )
Wow, we was pretty much speechless when we arrived, what a gorgeous little find this place was! Owners were lovely & made us feel very welcome. Lovely personal touch as nice coffee & milk was there upon arrival. The cottage itself is perfect for taking a few days getting away from it all & was spotlessly clean. Absolutely breathtaking views, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Thank you for giving us such a lovely review. We are really glad you enjoyed your stay.
