About Jan Kelly
Jan and Michel live nearby in les Iles de la Madeleine, an archipelago accessed by ferry from Prince Edward Island. Jan was born and raised in PEI and built the cottage with her partner in 2005. Since relocating to "les îles" they have decided to rent and exchange the cottage when not enjoying it themselves.
Jan Kelly purchased this Cottage in 2005
Why Jan Kelly chose Corran Ban
We built the cottage in this location as it is easily accessible to Charlottetown while maintaining a country and vacation feel due to its private setting and proximity to the beach.
What makes this Cottage unique
We love the outdoors, especially bird watching and hiking on nature trails, this location is a dream for those activities. There are osprey, eagles and herons around from early spring to late fall, and the National Park is only 5 minutes away. We also love great food, theatre and live music, Charlottetown and surrounding areas offer so many options for these pursuits.

Sweet Little Cottage
We loved this place! It's very secluded. The balcony window looks right out over the lake and if you're not afraid of mosquitoes, there's a little path through the brush right to the lake. It's only about 20 minutes from Charlottetown.
Lovely and serene
Adorable property. Conveniently located and very affordable. We would recommend!
Our own quiet hideaway
Our early June visit was exactly what we hoped it would be. The cottage was private, quiet, and rather spacious. It’s location is within a 30min drive to just about anything you’d like to do/see in PEI, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting.
Tucked away from the quiet roadway, the cottage drive gives way to a large property with access to Tracadie Bay. We were a little early in the season to want to venture to any water - but you’re close to beaches and provincial parks (pass included with stay - thanks Jan!).
The cottage itself had everything we could have needed in the kitchen. The new bbq grilled our steaks to perfection. There were great little touches everywhere. We had a movie marathon day when the weather wasn’t perfect. There were boardgames as well.
There were only two of us, so we used the master-loft bedroom only, and kept our belongings in the main floor bedroom. The spiral staircase isn’t for the faint of heart, so we didn’t want to make too many trips up there. The view was amazing from the loft first thing in the morning. And the sunset skies were so beautiful.
Thank you for offering such a wonderful place to stay. We were so very happy with your property. When we return, we will be sure to see if there’s availability at The Winter Bay Cottage.
Great seaside cabin with privacy and scenic views
A fantastic getaway for my wife and I. We came in late October so some of the outdoor activities were not possible, but we greatly enjoyed our stay. The crowds were thinned out and the leaves were fantastic. Jan's property was just what we were looking for, quiet, secluded and scenic.
We had no problem with the spiral staircase that leads to the upstairs loft, but if mobility is an issue for you, that's the only element I'd consider when renting this VRBO.
Great hosts, great place, we'd definitely come back
Very relaxing, peaceful, quiet, private, very nice interior and exterior, well equiped, clean, very inviting.
Quiet and pretty. Nice to sit on the deck and let the world.
Exactly as advertised. Would come back and hope I do
