Outdoors: Large landscaped garden, patio areas and terrace, balcony off master bedroom and large private rooftop solarium with uninterrupted views.

Within 10 minutes stroll of beautiful beaches and only minutes drive to a number of championship golf courses (Las Ramblas, Villamartin, Campoamor etc.) what more could you want. It is an ideal base for families or couples to explore. Good road links make other attractions easily accessible. Local bars and restaurants are just a short walk away.

Local Information:: La Zenia is unique, in that it can cater for many tastes. You can enjoy a summer or winter break, a golfing or seaside break, or you may want to steep yourself in the history of the area and visit it's many museums, monuments, churches and historic buildings. There are several beautiful sandy coves and blue flag beaches within a short walk which have plenty of space for sunbathing plus play areas for the children. If you want a day off from sunbathing or golfing there are two aqua parks close by for the children (and adults!). There are also local markets to be found on most days of the week (plenty of ideas for gifts to take home or just spoil yourself). A short drive inland you can find traditional Spanish villages surrounded by orange and lemon groves. Whatever your taste this area has it all.

La Zenia:: There are many local bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and a pharmacy all within walking distance. You have an excellent choice of restaurants including traditional Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Indian and English to choose from.

Torrevieja:: Torrevieja is a cosmopolitan Spanish town which is a 10 minute drive North of La Zenia. It can easily be reached by car or the frequent local buses. Torrevieja has an esplanade, a marina and boasts plenty of shops, bars, cafes, clubs and restaurants. There is also a large market on the esplanade every Friday. On the outskirts of Torrevieja there are two large natural salt lakes renowned for their healing properties .

We chose this villa for its cenral location and easy walk to all the local ameneties. As soon as we walked in to the villa we just looked at each other and fell in love with it.

What makes this villa unique

The villa's location is a short walk to shops, restaurants, bars, fantastic blue flag beaches the new La Zenia boulevard with all its shops, restaurants and entertainment. The famous Paddys Point pub is a short walk. The weekly Saturday market is also a short walk.

Lovely villa in great location

Had a great 2 weeks, the villa is as described and was nice and clean. A great location with beaches, bars and restaurants a short walk away. We will be back and would certainly recommend to our friends. La Zenia Boulevade is fantastic and only a short walk as is the market at Playa Flamenca.

Relaxing and comfortable stay

Very rare to find a lovely comfy bed in Spain - we slept well on the good quality mattress. Comfy sofa & lots of sunbeds & chairs outside. Lovely private garden. Great water power in the shower. Key holder was lovely lady. Would stay again if price was right

6/10 but could and should be so much better

I stayed in this property over the Christmas & New Year period of 2017.

For the most part the apartment is well equipped & as described but there are a few areas to watch out for.

Excellent location for Beach & La Zenia.

Paddy’s Point is excellent for food and live sport. Taste of India is also very good

Cons:

There was no oven glove so using the oven was a nightmare. It also only seemed to work properly if it’s turned to the maximum temperature

The toaster and microwave are cheap and the toaster in particular was awful

There’s a dripping noise from behind wall at the left of kitchen sink & from directly above this at the same spot in the main bathroom.

This is particularly noticeable if you are sitting with no background noise in the living area or if you are lying in bed with the bedroom and toilet doors open.

The TV system is pretty grim. As it was Winter time, we were indoors a little bit more at night time. We also travelled with our 6 year old so the antiquated satellite system with unordered channels & channels with no sound was very annoying.

There is a loose tile at the top of stairs as you turn towards the main bedroom. Disconcerting every time you stand on it as it feels like it is going to break.

The toilet window desperately needs replaced. You realise how disgusting it is the 1st time you go for a shower & then you don’t want to use the shower again.

You’ll only get 2 very short showers from the hot water tank in the morning. Good luck in the summer time if there’s 4 adults

The air-con/heating. Realising that we would probably need heating in the winter we opted to pay the additional heating charge.

On arrival I queried the actual cost as we weren’t staying a full 2 weeks & I assumed we would only pay for 10 days worth.

Sadly not, as we were informed on departure day it was to be the full 2 weeks cost.

This was annoying but the fact that heating ability of the units was absolutely atrocious, made the charge even more infuriating.

They may be great in summer (hence the charge) but they simply do not work as heating.

It therefore really stuck in my throat that I paid an additional electricity charge that in all probability paid for ALL my electricity consumption during my trip.

In hindsight I now wish I had went & bought a standalone heater. We could’ve kept warm & not had to pay this additional charge.

Overall we had a good holiday but I wouldn’t recommend this property & especially not in Winter if you like being warm at night.

Owner's Response: Oven glove: Has been replaced. TV stations: it is a cable system not satellite. All the usual UK channels plus others as we have guests who require none UK channels. Just to make it clear the channels without sound are not the UK ones, there are various extra channels and radio channels etc. Its all within the cable TV package that all subscribers get. As for the number of showers from the hot water tank. We installed the largest available tank and not had any problems or negative feedback. Dripping noise will be looked into (can be caused by dripping tap upstairs) Heating/aircon charge for 14 nights was done in error as had not advised the new keyholder only to charge pro rata for number of nights stayed. We have always kept the villa rental price as low as possible as not everyone requires aircon/heating. As for the heating, thank you for bringing this to our attention as we have not had so cold winters at the villa in the past so we now also provide a logburner/flame effect fire in addition to the three aircon/heater units for those requiring heating. The guest stayed in the villa in December but we did not have any contact from the guest until this review of the 9th of February so were unable to resolve any issues during their stay.

Lovely stay

Had a lovely stay here. Well equipped house with a really comfortable bed. House well situated in a secure gated development very close to the Boulevard and beaches.

Garden is fantastic, rare to find in a quad house.

Alicante airport is about 40 minutes drive and St Javier (Murcia) airport is 20 minutes drive.

Golf: La Zenia is every golfers dream! There are 3 championship courses within 5 minutes drive - Las Ramblas, Villamartin and Campoamor which are reasonably priced. Facilities include - club hire, caddie cart and motorised buggy hire, driving range, putting green and a pro-shop. The world famous La Manga and La Finca courses are just 45 minutes away by car. Within 45 minutes drive there are a total of 8 golf courses each with it's own unique design. All challenging and enjoyable to play.
