Dear Sophie

I would be very happy to write a review but I am struggling to access the webpage. Is there another way to leave a review? If you can post it yourself, my review would be:

"Berkeley House is absolutely gorgeous. Tucked away in the quiet country lanes just outside the centre of Bath, it played host to a very enjoyable weekend. The friendly and helpful owners were there to greet us when we arrived. Having showed us around and made us feel at home, they left us to enjoy everything that Berkeley House had to offer for the rest of our stay but I have no doubt that they would have been on hand if we needed anything. The House had everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable: plenty of space inside for everyone to spread out; logs for the cosy open fire in the evenings; a pretty garden with plenty of tables and chairs to sit in the sunshine; table tennis and other activities; lovely crisp clean bed linen and towels; the list could go on. I would highly recommend a stay at Berkeley House."

All the best

Perfect for our family reunion

  • 5 of 5

We rented Berkeley House for a family reunion of 10 and it really worked well for us. The photos reflect the house - it really is very pretty. Communication with owners was excellent before, during and after our stay. Very well equipped house - we had big family meals and couldn't have wanted for more. We had a minor issue with one shower which was fixed immediately - can't fault anything. Really good and we would recommend without reservations.

Beautiful House with spacious rooms & excellent living/kitchen space

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the main house and coach house with a group of friends attending a sports event at Bath University. The house was fantastic - the bedrooms all very spacious and comfortable. We loved the amazing open plan kitchen/dining/living area which just made it an easy place to be in with a large group. We will definitely be back!

Comfortable and unpretentious

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed staying at Paul and Jackie's house in the village of Lower Stoke vey much.

It was a warm ,comfortable and very well equipped unlike some VRBO properties we have rented in the past. The bedrooms are all large with high quality mattresses, pillows and duvets which we appreciated. We were there for a family holiday and everyone including the elder members found the house easy to enjoy. We liked the short walk to the local pub and many walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Paul had recommended a very good driver Jason who met us at the airport and then arranged transportation for us to catch the eurostar in London after our stay. Paul also suggested a very good caterer Enzo who arranged for meals to be delivered and a chef to come and cook for us one night.

His recommendations are important as the house, although well sign posted when you reach the driveway, can be a challenge to find as google maps was a little confusing .Jason, Enzo and the chef he sent have all been to the house before so know how to find it.

The pub ,The Hop Pole, when open ,was very helpful in guiding my lost relatives who relied on google maps.

There are large baskets of logs and bundles of kindling ready for guests as well as wellington boots in various sizes for muddy days.

The furnishing is unpretentious and of a decent quality.

The only caveat I would add is that guests should be aware that the master bedroom is not ensuite and shares a large and lovely bathroom with bedroom three. Bedroom two is on suite but has three steps down into the bathroom dressing room area which could be a challenge for the infirm.

The four bedrooms on the top floor all share a nearby family bathroom on the same floor. For this reason I suggest that guests bring dressing gowns.

I highly recommend the house to families who want a relaxing time together.

Beautiful house and very helpful host!

  • 5 of 5

This property had been recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there previously, and it did not disappoint.

The house was beautiful, and had plenty of space for the 16 of us that were staying (including 2 on a sofabed). Each bedroom was large and spacious.

The owner was very helpful with pre-stay information and was also able to assist with some last minute queries while we were there.

So all in all, it was fantastic!

Amazing weekend, amazing house and a lovely setting

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived at the property we were greeted with warm hands, the owners kindly showed us around and made sure we were setup. The house is beautiful, great entertaining space at the front of the house. The village has a lovely pub with great atmosphere. Overall 10/10! Bath is only a two minute taxi ride which is perfect for somewhere to eat. Highly recommend this place for all kinds of people. Thank you again for having us stay in your home. Charles
