Why Dee Hodson chose Montgenèvre
The biggest selling feature is it's sheer enormity and comfortable living, however it also maintains a quieter location but still within an easy walk of the main village and piste.
100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
This apartment has great placement situated higher up in the centre of Montgenevre to provide breathtaking views and a short walk to the main village.
Montgenevre itself is situated on the col route between Italy and France providing different cultural experiences to be enjoyed by all as well as the birthplace of the Durancia - France's largest river. For those looking to eat out it has a number of restaurants that offer a variety of delicious French and Italian cuisine with some traditional Alpine food too - a must try locally.
In the Winter months, you have on-your-doorstep access to the Via Lattea - a large ski area comprising 400km of pistes - the largest international area in Europe and provides an ideal location to explore both Italy and France. It's one of the cheapest places to ski locally and offers 59 slopes in total with a number of beautiful, easy runs for beginners through to some great off-pisting for the thrill seekers! Due to it's high proximity (starting 1860m) Montgenevre consistently boasts excellent snow conditions over a 6 month Winter period with quieter than average slopes. A real hidden gem in the Alps!
In the Spring and Summer months, the village comes alive with mountain walks, downhill biking events, white water rafting (downtown Briancon) golf (not for the faint hearted!), bikes to hire and a number of activities for children including high ropes, lakeside activities, parks, bouncy castles, cinema and recently built local pool and spa facilities in the Balneo Durancia. Plus with over 300 days sunshine a year, it's a great place to work on your tan..
Just a little further afield you have the delights of Briancon (20 mins) - definitely worth exploring for it's cultural arts and it's charming Veilleville (Old City). Aswell as the Navache region (20 mins) with yet more beautiful mountain walks and beautiful scenery.
Summer or Winter - there's lots to see and do in Montgenevre for people of all ages, so come see for yourselves!
