More info about us and the location: Zog House holiday let is owned by Gus and Patti Zogolovitch. We built this house ourselves and live in a self-contained maisonette upstairs with our young children so if there are any problems with your stay, we will be there to help.

We are a mine of information. Gus has lived in London his entire life except for his long periods of travelling. He speaks Spanish, Indonesian and some French. Patti is Australian and speaks Italian. We have been to many other self-catered apartments and will try as hard as possible to make your stay comfortable.

Patti is also a legendary baker - and on request can make you a proper English Cream Tea. She cooks a mean scone and coupled with some clotted cream and home-made jam - it's taste heaven and waist hell!

Gus can help you avoid the tourist traps (there are a lot in London) and tell you all his hidden gems for eating, drinking, shopping, cultural highlights and sight-seeing.

we have added some photos from the local area. You probably know what London has to offer, but come here to discover an unknown suburb of London - where the real Londoners live - with great restaurants and pubs and get off the beaten track. You never know, you may also bump into one of the many celebrities that live in the area - Daniel Craig, Sienna Miller, Lily Allen or Jade Jagger to name but a few.

If you do want to do the attractions - the brilliant thing is that they are all just a few stops on the tube or the overland.

Why pay for some tiny hotel room in the noisy part of town when you can come here for the real London at only 20 minutes away on the tube?

Here's what our last tenant said about us: I came to stay at the flat with the idea that I would stay a few short months and ended up staying a year and a half. This is a lovely flat in a fantastic location. It is spacious enough to feel like a ‘proper’ home rather than a crash pad and has everything you could want from a ‘home from home’ - great kitchen with nice touches such as self closing drawers and more than enough room to cook. The bathroom is ultra modern with a shower to kill for - no tricklely showers here! The bedroom is spacious and has enough storage space to keep the most avid fashion collector happy. It also has a super comfy bed with an extra long mattress. Both the sitting area and bedroom benefit from the most gorgeous full length wide patio doors that lead out on to a small sun terrace that captures the sun beautifully, and the under floor heating will warm your toes in the winter. All in all a great flat in a fantastic location with friendly lovely people who will ensure that your stay is perfect.

We live upstairs to the flat, so if there is anything unusual you need, we will hopefully be able to help you. If there is something that we have you would normally be most welcome to borrow it. Washing machine, ironing board and iron are all located in a shared utility room along with a hand wash and utility sink area. kitchen/diner opens on to its own private patio

Pros and Cons

There were definite pros and cons with this location. Very easy access to Queens Park tube and lots of local good places to eat within reach. Be aware that there are several young children overhead and it was loud at times. Good space for couple or single person, bed left us a bit stiff and pull out sofa bed is....well a pull out sofa bed and 13 year old had some stiff nights as well.

I am very sorry to hear that you didn’t 100% enjoy your stay in our flat, we have only had two negative reviews in the 5 years that we have been renting this flat out and take our feedback very seriously. We do try and fix or improve anything that is not up to our guests expectations as soon as we are told, but this is the first we knew about the noise levels. We also have very fluffy mattress toppers which could easily have been placed on both beds if you mentioned something after your first night to hopefully improve your nights sleep. We do try our best to cater for all types of guest bed preferences. We keep our prices fairly low in comparison to our local competitors because we offer a family friendly flat and I’m sorry if this wasn’t clear in the listing. I shall make sure it is much clearer for the future. The flat is newly built, with a higher specification of sound insulation when compared to Victorian or older homes. However, it’s not as high as a hotel, and we shall make sure that we let people know this in the future in advance

Great apartment

Apartment was ideal for our family of 4.

Sofa bed was big enough for 8 and 10 year old children.

Everything was as described and all clean and well maintained.

Queens park is great area to stay as has all facilities close by (including great park with a pitch and putt) and is not far from heart of London with great transport options.

Well equipped and situated

The apartment was in a good location with easy access to groceries, bakery, etc. We were very comfortable in the immediate area. We ate out only once at an Indian Restaurant with a meal for two at a reasonable cost and very good. Enjoyed the bakery very much. The owners are environmentally concerned and provide the means to compost and recycle. The tube was an easy walk away and although nearby Paddington Tube was closed we managed to find our way to the main tourist areas without a lot of line changes. Access for laundry was much appreciated. We had some difficulty with TV access but Patti came to the rescue when we contacted her. My sister in law and I were quite satisfied with our stay.

Great location! Quiet oasis!

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of Queens Park after the noise and bustle of central London. The apartment is spacious, clean, well appointed and the bed is comfortable.

Lots of eating choices a few blocks away and the tube gets you anywhere in London in 10-15 minutes. Definitely recommend this place!

Great stay in London

This apartment was very clean and well laid out. It was perfect for my wife, young daughter, mother in-law and myself for a weekend in London. It is a little further than some locations from the center of London, but with the tube close by you could be anywhere you needed within 30 minutes. The neighborhood was lovely, with some nice restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops close by when needed. Patti was very accommodating and lovely to deal with.

Family spent a week in this flat at London

We are a family of four and we spent a week in this flat. We had no problems, we were just sorry to find out that no one was there, fortunately everything ran well, but in case of problems we would have no one there to ask and the owner didn't tell us before, we just guessed were to leave the key at the end of the week. The apartment is big enough for four and very well situated but the sofa-bed is really hard! The flat was clean with hot water and warm. Everything was fine, the family left us all we needed and we also found something to eat on our arrival. In the end it is really a nice place to stay very quiet and comfortable.
