Our House is located in the municipality of Issigeac of the Dordogne Department. The cottage, which formerly served as a farm, is built from traditional materials, with a white painted wooden ceiling. The thick walls of natural stone, plastered on the inside, ensure a pleasant indoor climate in the warm summer months. The modern kitchen goes well with the vintage furniture from the 60s in the living area. In the bedroom you can sleep in a four-poster bed with mosquito net. The cottage is situated in the middle of vineyards, fields and nature. We propose to rent the cottage for the 3 seasons, Spring, Summer and Autumn. Spring is beautiful green. All crops are beautiful green in the fields, nature is in full bloom, it is not too hot and you only hear the crickets and birds. The designated season for long walks in nature. The summer is warm and lazy with the advantage that it is cool inside the house. There are always activities in the vicinity of Vide greniers (antiques) to night markets. At night you have a clear starry sky in clear weather. The Autumn gives a beautiful color. This season usually has good weather, warm and sunny and you can experience the vendage (vintage) up close.

In our holiday home in the Dordogne it is wonderfully quiet in the middle of nature and vineyards. There is always somewhere in the area a "brocante", antiques market, (nocturne) market or vide grenier where it is wonderful to stroll around. For example, the market in Issigeac and the brocante in Chateau de Lanquais are definitely worth it. We are in the middle of the wine region of Bergerac and Monbazillac. Our grapes from the vineyard are taken by our farmer to the co-operative of Sigoules. In Bergerac, numerous events are organized during the summer months. Many craft workshops are open and various workshops are possible. There are castles, (Chateau de Biron, Chateau de Bridoire, Chateau de Monbazillac, ..), bastides (Monpazier, Monflanquin, Villereal, Eymet), caves, wine estates (Chateau Les Verdots, Chateau Jaubertie, Chateau de Monbazillac, ... ) and gardens to visit. Every day there is a nice French market somewhere in the neighborhood, for example the very attractive and authentic French market in Issigeac on Sunday or the large market of Bergerac or the market on the medieval square of Eymet. Nothing is more blissful than buying fresh fruit, vegetables and Foie Gras on the market in the morning and then having a experience with a fresh Monbazillac under our lime tree in the afternoon.
